140

$100 off previously advertised ticketed price, same price as Sony's website (https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/audio-components/ps-lx31…)
Not the cheapest deal for this turntable, however comparable to both other JB deals, and other recent deals.

I also contacted JB's sales line and they discounted to $275, so give that a go!

    How the turntables

  • +1

Bought this a few months back as my first Turntable. Happy with how it turns and plays vinyl.

3 gm tracking pressure - about twice that of my 1980's Pickering when set up and tested with the Decca test record SKL4861, therefore 10 time the wear:-/ Still, it's better than the plastic cutting lathes that normally go out for ~ $70 at Aldi or K-Mart.

Thank you for this! I had been wondering about the tracking pressure as opposed to my mother's ~1970's Sanyo but have been told many a time to completely avoid the Kmart/Aldi ones :)

    • And it looks like this one is non-adjustable. Is that correct?

      • +1

Yep - and knowing Sony, probably a proprietary headshell that doesn't accept other cartridges. The FAQ specifically states that it is not replaceable.

      Thank you so much!

Because after chasing that 11 bit audio fidelity with your vinyl why wouldn't you use lose some of it via Bluetooth encoding.

  • Do you HAVE to use Bluetooth with this turntable? Can I buy this and connect it via wires still?
