      Pancake Parlour is horrendously overpriced. Only ever worthwhile with these sorts of deals, which only brings the prices down to a reasonable level rather than any sort of “bargain”

        Yep I remember the days when Jamaican Banana pancakes where $12.95. I use to go weekly
        . Now they lost me at $20 whatever mark.

        Yeah I have fond memories of going there while dating my now wife. Unlimited fake maple syrup. Cream on top. Then seeing a movie. Good times. (I got kids now).

    An ex manager did a AMA recently on r/Melbourne and he said something like a plate of pancakes was about 8 cents cost price

        I would say that it's the establishment that you're paying for. Remember that these guys are open 24/7 in some stores and this was way back before maccas started doing 24/7 trade so it was a good place to hangout, play with their board games etc and in the current weather, to bum AC

          Certainly the cost of the places, and people, would outweigh ingredients. Got my Tiramisu, today, and it was nice to sit in the air conditioned premises.

    At $5 they are a reasonable price and, I find, the smaller size better. The tiramisu is very good.
