    I will admit of all the cheap chinese amazon gear I've collected over the years, this one by far has been the one I have been impressed with the most time and time again. One of the only ones that actually remotely lived up to the marketing and didnt crap out after 5 uses/ 6 months.

    It DOES get exceedingly warm for anything more than 2 min at max but jeez it's bright. It's my become my everyday EDC torch of choice.

        I forget which 18650 based one I had but I would take this one for sure.
        The charger included with my 18650 one looked suss as hell and I never let it charge unattended in the fear it would overcharge/battery would go on fire lmao. (Pretty extreme). Plus it was one extra thing to carry around with me.

        This one charges with USB c which is perfect as I always have with me a baseus 4 in 1 cable and wall adapter (or I could maybe use battery bank if I got desperate)

            @htc: I seem to remember some lights with a USB-C connection didn't actually charge with USB-C to C cables, you had to use USB-A to C cables.

            Now I have no idea whether this light falls into that category or whether that's still even a thing, but probably not a bad idea just to confirm it works with a C-C cable if you're planning on using that (or hopefully another user might chime in).

          What is your opinion of the rubber plug that covers the USB C port?
          - I have a few other things with similar rubber plugs and they never seem to fit that securely (specifically my cat eye bike lights)

            @DeToxin: Seems quite good at the moment… though I just have mine in my edc kit bag. I pull it out to use then put it back. Probably one of the more secure ones. I have had issues with other rubber seals before for USB ports. I usually just end up not using them and pulling it off.

    Does op check amazon wuben regularly? I assume camel camel does not track coupon appearance and $38.99 would not trigger a notification. I had to check Amazon newlight at least once a day to find the deal. One more thing to tick off from my buy wish list. One more to go, viofo and I could stop checking amazon and ozbargain regularly, and spend more time on other things. I was resisting the temptation to buy a few days ago when there was a 20% coupon when the price is $35.99, so I could stop wasting time to check amazon each morning. Just got notified this deal was posted, so I just unsubscribed from Wuben notification.

      Unfortunately checkbox coupon deals aren't tracked on Camelx3, so just have to keep checking the Amazon product page regularly.

      You could always subscribe to an OzBargain Product page, and will be notified when a deal get posted (aasuming deal has been tagged correctly)

        I know, ozbargain has a reputation for insane deals, often even I checked regularly, the insane deal got expired very quickly or was too slow to react (like the pizza deal, hoping it will still exist tomorrow, the sunglasses yesterday but entered the address slightly wrong, using auto refill, had to go back and started charging $5 then I logged into phone, the coupon no longer work), not a complaint but I think I could get my life back if I check ozbargain less often, I feel it is impacting my life that I check ozbargain so many times a day.
