I have the L60. Worthy to buy another torch?

    • I’m waiting for a good price on l60 to keep in the car tbh. C3 is my go to for edc in my kit bag.

      • What is a good price for the L60?

I just grabbed one for $39 on Amazon (same seller as the C3 deal). $39 seems a decent amount cheaper than anywhere else I see it.

        • closer to around $30 i reckon.

          • @Jimothy Wongingtons: I am underwhelmed by the L60 to be honest. I have a C3 and love it, but the L60 feels significantly lower quality. Compared to the reviews online, I suspect I got a 'bad' one in terms of quality control - perhaps due to Covid disturbed supply chains.

Key complaints are the zoom is very stiff, and slightly grindy rather than smooth. And the USB port cover does not stay in place (this is noted as in issue in reviews), and the USB port itself 'catches' when plugging in a cable.

The USB port cover is most annoying in some ways. I presume the port itself is waterproofed inside and the cover just keeps out dust and droplets. But considering how wonky the port itself already feels, anything extra getting in there will be less than ideal.

            • @Prong: seems weird, the c3 usb port cover i think sits surprisingly well for a chinese made product…

              • @Jimothy Wongingtons: like most mobile phones including Apple? Who knew?

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Yeah the C3 cover is great.

The L60 one is quite a different design.

The main outer edge of the cover doesn't push in to the recess and seal like the C3. Instead it has a little tab that pushes into the USB port. The actual recess on the L60 is very shallow and doesn't grip the sides of the cover - it just sits on top, held by the tab. But on mine at least, the little loop that connects to the button to avoid losing the cover is angled so the cover never sits flat on top of the USB port.

The result is no actual seal, and bumping or brushing the cover (easy to do) in a pocket or bag means the cover comes off entirely.

      • What's the difference between c3 and l60? They seem to be the exact same flashlight.

  • How bright is this thing for catching crabs in pitch black looking through water? Would it guard against seawater? Thanks

    • Not sure about water at night but it’s very bright, can’t be used for extended period of time. Overheats

You should be able to leave it on max. It's got a 1200 lumen max but it can only hold it for 1min and then it slowly steps down to 500 lumen over 2.5 hours.

    no coupon :/

  • Hi op do you live in WA or did you stay up late last night and happened to find this deal?

  • +2

I keep missing these deals. Lesser coupon, but they discounted the torch further this time.

    • RRP:
      $55.99 Details
      Deal Price:
      $30.59
      You Save:
      $25.40 (45%)

    • Me too😪, it feels like they put these deals on for 20 minutes overnight!!

      • The 20% was there before they did a price drop. Just try to watch it as they will probably put another discount code but the price may go back up again. Deal get put out anytime as I have been looking for it previously as well.

    • Still available from Hekka for $17.99 US

  • How's this compare to the Sofrin 31C Pro?

I got a 31C Pro last deal and didn't feel like it lived up to the hype..

    • Expect nothing, and be pleasant surprised haha

Wonder how legit the claim of 2000 lumens is. The Wuben advertised ‘max’ seems about right

What didn't you like about the 31C Pro?

    • Check out Lumintop GT3 - it's a bit brighter.

  • I just bought a 500 lumen flashlight from Bunnings today for $40 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
