The only cure is a discounted bunnings gift card.
That said I still can't call this a bargain - point for point gift cards provide such poor value compared to flights.

For those interested in Wish/Woolworths gift cards, Auto Rewards still work out better value.
You get a $5 gift card for 750 points via autorewards (equates to $25 for 3750 points), whereas a $25 Woolworths gift card via this deal is still 4690 points after the 10% off.
"You will only receive one Gift Card per quarter (up to a maximum value of $20)."
This is a huge limiting factor for the Auto Rewards..plus the fact you can't get a gift card now, you need to wait til the quarterly date.
Am I correct in my math in that a Wish gift card (on special) makes the value of a Qantas point 0.53 cents?
They used to sell for 1-1.1 cents privately although I’m sure that has dropped in recent times
I needed to top up my points to be able to buy a $50 Rebel gift card costing 7000 odd points and just to buy 1000 points would cost $56, so it's a huge rip off imho.
Yeah giftcards are the same as Banks ratio now, despite that points are valued at 2-3x when there are exchanges
I think Giftcards use to be as high a 0.70 a while back
