200

Been looking for a cheap full size Logitech wireless mouse and come across this. Not the cheapest deal , but still a good one given it comes with Logitech Unifying Receiver.

Nice mouse, solid price. Got the same deal a few years ago, used the mouse at the office before COVID.

  • Can someone explain what the unifying receiver does?

I have one.. and I was hoping that it would mean I could connect over RF or Bluetooth.. but I don't think that's what it is? Because I always have to use Bluetooth.

It means if you lose the receiver, you can buy any other logi unifying receiver to replace it. i.e. your mouse doesn't become e-waste. It also connects logi wireless keyboards as well, so 1 port for 2 devices.

so 1 port for 2 devices.

        or you can read as

so 1 (very small) dongle for 2 (big) devices.

    • actually it connects up to 6 devices, so 1 port for 6 devices instead of using 6 usb ports .

another use case is one device connecting to multiple computers. e.g. you can switch multiple device mouse M720 to connect to a desktop or a laptop which has Unifying Receiver.

    • Note that this uses the older “Unifying” receiver, Logitech are replacing that with a new “Bolt” receiver which does the same thing (can be used for up to 6 compatible Logitech devices) but Bolt isn’t backwards compatible with Unifying.

      • Bolt isn't available from retail outlets… so I don't think it is replacing the OG unifying receiver any time soon

  • Moved onto the M720 from this, which I find more comfortable (still has side buttons too).

Got a bunch of these new M510s spare now.

Good deal if your a fan of this mouse, though.

    • agree, if the $36 deal for M720 comes back, I would definitely go for it instead of M510.

I love this mouse. Bought a heap from Amazon US for ~$15 years ago. Use them on all my PC's. Still have a few in the cupboard un-opened.

Was actually looking up prices 2 days ago to see if anyone had them. $100+ on E-Bay (are they dreaming or what?!?!?!).

$28 is a good price for such a nice mouse.

  • For this price, no other mouse could beat it

  • I realise this is an older post, but just checked the link again today, and they are now $29.
