  • I think targeted. No notices in mine or the Misso’s account. I guess I’ll have to start on all the alcohol accumulated in the last 6 months of Cashrewards/ShopBack offers.

  • +1

Even with 30 percent off, way more expensive than buying in store. The culprit is the service see.
Also have to beer as 6 packs, instead of a slab

  • +1

    Too expensive after 25%

Stone and wood - after discount is $83 aprox
    Elsewhere it’s $77

  • +2

Still no deal. Overpriced six packs + service fee + delivery fee.

  • Isn't this irresponsible to advertise?

What happens if you're a recovering alcoholic?

    • they you should stay off ozb

I was more referring to a person seeing the uber eats ad which seems to be unavoidable.

Hell, I'd be just as upset if uber offered 25% off cigarettes, it just doesn't seem ethical.

        • Big banner to opt out in email and also option to opt out in app.

Law states that advertisement of alcohol is okay, but cigarettes aren't.
How do you feel about BWS giving away free alcohol?

          • @decc0: I'll be honest, I don't drink, but I do cook with it, so I'm neither for or against the sale of alcohol. However, I don't like the idea of promoting alcohol in any form since it's a drug that can be abused.

            • @RedditUser1: Anyone can buy two packs of paracetamol (or a 100pk off the shelf at chemists) and easily OD. Caffeine tablets have no limit on them except self governance. Energy drinks are sold in multipacks, but are "max 1 can per day". There's many more examples.

They can be abused too, why should we be promoting them? Alcohol is 18+ and heavily excised. None of the above products have legal age limits or excises.

              • @decc0: Do any of those things cause harm to another living human if someone else takes them?

                • @RedditUser1: Precisely my point. Self harming isn't considered a problem in this society. Unless it's physical health like cigarettes.

Thanks for proving my point :)

                  • @decc0: Self harming isn't the issue, it's the fact that cigarettes can cause second hand smoke and alcohol can lead to car crashes. It's the same reason we have a ban on guns, it's not due to the fact that someone shot himself.

                    • @RedditUser1:

cigarettes can cause second hand smoke

So what you are saying is society doesn't give a shit about anyone except themselves. In that case, why don't any of the antismoking campaigns list second hand smoke as a reason to quit? Packs say cigarettes will give you lung cancer instead. In addition, we have smoking areas, if you want to stand there and take a deep breath feel free.

alcohol can lead to car crashes.

So can medications that cause drowsiness. Should we ban them as well?

Your whole point just doesn't make sense fundamentally and has far changed from what it originally was.

                      • @decc0: Addressing your first paragraph:

It seems you've contradicted yourself in the first two sentences, claiming my point is "people don't care about each other" and then proving it by stating [people only stop smoking if they're shown the effects that happen to them].

So what's the point of that?

Further, your first point is a strawman; flaw in the logic of an argument, as I never said or implied that people only cared about themselves.

Granted, you do bring up an excellent point of how second hand smoking is an issue, as it's banned in most public places. This can also be used to show that something effecting others, not just the user, is a valid issue to discuss.

                        Addressing your second paragraph:

Comparing medications to alcohol is a false analogy; you honestly think that alcohol and medicine are the same?

Medicine is given under the supervision of a doctor and can be necessary, the other is a recreational drug. Besides, it also illegal to drive under the influence so it's not like medicine isn't regulated. It's more about balancing the potential benefit to potential harm of each thing.

                        Addressing your third paragraph:

Oh! You got me burrnnn, but if winning is that important to you than you win.

                        • @RedditUser1:

if winning is that important to you than you win.

Thanks I'll take the win over reading that massive essay that you've written lol. You really need to learn to be concise.

    • Then hiding deals tagged "Alcohol" would be a good start.
I'm assuming this hypothetical recovering alcoholic has already opted out of alcohol promotions from various providers so this isn't any different.
