The other day i had a thought pop in my head Wondering if any ozbargainers mint or buy nft, with how hyped these are at the moment. Im starting to get a bit intrigued so was just curious if anyone has any opinions/ experience on this type of investing. I was myself a sceptic, thinking how could people fathom buying a pixelated image with a cigar, go for hundreds if not millions of dollars
Does Any OzBargainer Mint/Buy NFT

 - I'd like to make them but I'm not much of an artist, not with hand illustration anyway. Besides I think you need to be famous first. Plus I don't know how to do zero carbon emission NFTs and can't be bothered researching it, but it seems to exist.
 - with how hyped these are at the moment - Best time to enter any crypto option, if you like bag holding :)
 - I saw an ad on Facebook that was an NFT generator. It's just people buying their own stuff to leverage the greater fool theory. - Same happens with the retro console market. People buy their own stuff to push up the prices of their other stuff. Don't be a sucker. Or at least don't end up holding the bag.
 - There was a post here only the other day where some random claimed that they made 30 ETH coins in 2 months. Might pay to give them a message and see what their secret is.
 - Arts NFT is the 21st century Pokemon collectable. - Most of them won't hold their value in a bear market. Those that do survive can demand prices that only the rich can afford. - BTW making 30 Ether in two months slipping NFT is doable. - Pokemon collectable - Probably more closely comparable to beanie babies…
;) - Cryptopunks and BAYC. - Princess the Bear beanie baby.

 - Woolworths Ooshies?

 - Had a mate make around 40k out of NFT series he made on his phone over the course of a few weeks. - Don’t know how many/what cryptobiscuits he got for them, just know he got 40k worth of crypto on a idea that people ate up. - Was half tempted to work out what the hell a NFT was and try it myself 😂 - Give him a few more weeks…
 - Who's buying them? Why???? - @Ughhh: Why do people collect anything?
https://tokenmia.com/collections/all?sort_by=price-descendin… - @rektrading: Those things, like limited edition Jordans and even certain Pokemon etc cards I get, but something like a random kids selfie ……

 - @Ughhh: My theory is other people who have made money off nft or other crypto currency’s and see it as play money. - They probably put some profit aside and reinvest the rest in other random nft or risky cryptos on the off chance it becomes big. - Or at least thats what i would do 🤷🏽♂️

 - Hahahaha .. you have to be kidding right? This is a site for bargains, not expensive things that are worthless. - Ozb wastes more money on cheap worthless Chinese junk than anything else. - Most gift cards are manufactured in Australia, actually.

 - Bargains depend on someone's perception of value. For example, some finds Pam's post of entertainment value for $0, ergo a bargain.

 - Name an infinite resource - NFT's
Name an overvalued resource - NFT's
 - well there are a few people each week making millions from lottery playing for under $100, plenty of headlines
they don't tell you how many people are losing though
 - Very cool concept I mean we are moving to a more digital world in everything but I personally have no hunches or tips into it unlike I did with crypto so for that reason I'm out. - Hopefully someone younger than me finds the bitcoin pizza equivalent of the NFT but I am about as good at finding the next NFT pizza as the next bloke.
 - Minted a bunch of them a year ago on Rarible and cross selling on Opensea as an experiment - all single edition pieces. Cost about $30-40/piece in gas fees back then to mint and selling about the price of what I sell physical art prints of my work. Still to sell a piece.
The success stories we read about are usually the exception and the marketplace is completely saturated and so much rubbish in there too - most aren't worth the gas its minted on. Most people I know wouldn't even know how to buy an NFT or any stages of setting up a wallet to be able to buy one. Its really a small niche market of buyers out there but who knows how things could develop.
 - https://www.insider.com/reality-star-made-200k-fart-jars-sel… - “She has since pivoted to selling the fart jars as NFTs. They sell for 0.05 Ethereum.” - The world has truly gone crazy… good on her though
 - I've bought a few NFTs, I'm as sucker for pop culture and generative the art-based collections are pretty appealing for a digital nerd like me…not made any profits, but aside from the personal appeal I always like to try and get amongst these online trends and take a small risk with the hope of a long-term (say 5-10 year) gains. And if nothing else, participating helps to learn and anticipate what the future trends might be. - Footnote: I actually published an eBook about how to buy NFTs for beginners…if anyone is interested swing me a DM and I'll shoot you a free copy…
 - Yes I do. It's not very newb friendly, as the space is full of rugs/scams. Only investment what you can afford to lose as it's high risk/high reward. Risk can be reduced substantially by understanding the space and keeping up with gossip.
