  • Some good prices there. Close enough for me to go pickup… but not quite close enough to not be lazy and do it ($200+ delivery area, never order near that amount)!

  • Seems like a fair bit of a markup, as sale price brings the canned dog food down to normal PetStock prices. Unless theres price differences across states, I’m in Vic.

Could get 12 cans of the 390g dog food for $5.89/can ($70.68 for 12) elsewhere.

    • But our price is $61.36 (Venison at $79.12), which I think is much cheaper. About the RRP prices, we use the latest official ones, while some stores haven't update them. You can compare it with Pet Circe as I know they already finished the updates.

      • Didn’t neg you or the deal, but for some reason my pricing was showing around the $70 for the 390gram cans of beef after discount. Price now showing correctly. Sorry about that :/

  • I checked the major online pet supplies stores to make sure our prices are the best, which is the required step before posting. Because we know if we post as the best prices while actually they're not, many ozbargainers will diss the deal and we'll be banned by the platform. That's the reason we really like Ozbargain, as same as the way we run businesses, it must be honest and real.

A bit over 20% per can cheaper at PetPost for chicken 185gm ($2.84 per can, vs. $3.62 per can from OP).

Only negging because of the claim “The best prices compared with all the stores in Australia”, other varieties are still around 5% cheaper elsewhere like Petpost at least without their sales or coupons, and also no need to buy in batches of 12.

    • Thanks for your reply. I checked the chicken cans price and found it's real. I did check all the major stores' prices but not every item. I apologize for the claim. It's should be most of the prices instead of all of them. If anyone else found any ziwi item cheaper than us, you're very welcome to reply with a link to let ozbargainers know.

      • There is a big EDIT button on your deal, honest retailers would change a false claim …

        • Thanks, I already edited it and also posted the cheaper one for Ziwi Chicken Can as recommended.

    • If you feed your cats cat food, you'll realise that cats hate changing food brands often. So if you do feed your cat a particular brand of food, you'd need about 1 can (185g) per cat per day. I'd never go back to buying individual cans anymore now that I can buy it in trays of 12.

Been buying my Ziwi Peak cat food from Peek-A-Paw, great pricing during the sales. While not every single items may be the cheapest you can find, I find my overall shopping cart still cheaper than if I were to buy the equivalent items from multiple stores which are tens of cents cheaper per item but the shipping cost then just equalises the pricing.

Question for Allen, I have in my cart my order which exceeds $200, but it still doesn't show up with free shipping to postcode 2154. Is there a code I need to put in for it?

Hi, there should be a free local delivery option for your location if the order value is over $200. Please email us a screenshot if can’t find it.

      • Thanks for your help! I've placed my order!

For the Ziwi Cat Chicken Can 185g, please go to PetPost to get the best price.

  • Are the expiry dates comparable to most stores

    • +2

For my last order in November 2021, the expiry date of the Ziwi Peak cat can food was August 2024. Way longer than how quick my cats eat Ziwi Peak.

From memory, the expiry date on the Peek-A-Paw's cans is actually better compared to the same product that I purchased from my local Petbarn when on sale. Petbarn's sale price was higher than Peek-A-Paw's, the expiry date was shorter and the cans were individually stacked on the shelves, making it cumbersome to pick the number of cans I required of the correct flavour and double check if it was cat or dog (they have similar coloured labels for some flavours, and there were dog cans mixed in at the Petbarn cat section!)

I liken this to buying canned tuna for myself, I can wait until Coles or Woolies has it on sale, then go to the aisle, pick out through the various flavours to get the one I want as people tend to mix it up, then have to end up scanning 30 cans and bagging 1 at a time at the checkout…… Easier for me to buy a 30 can tray from a wholesale place online at a similar price.

So similar to Peek-A-Paw, if you feed Ziwi Peak to your cats as their main food then you are better off buying a tray or 2 from them, instead of scouring through the aisles of Petbarn looking for the flavour you want and risking covid too!

      • Sounds great, will give them a go then, thanks

Thanks so much for your support and detailed information provided.

    • We just started to sell Ziwi from last October and we restock them almost every week directly from the supplier. So I think the expiry dates are better than the most other stores.

  • Just received my purchase today. The cat food cans had an expiry date of November 2024. Fresh as!
