Been looking to buy a second one. Saw this. Still on the fence whether I'll wait for 2 weeks, or just buy the cheapest now at $169 and I can pick it up today or tomorrow.

  • Been looking to buy a second one.

Are you looking at using the new Zoom 3D features?

    • ah no, it's for my wife. haha. We both work from home these days, and the default camera of our work laptops are shitty. haha

I think for OnlyFans these days you'll get more subscribers with a 4K one

        Link?

  • Super random question - do you think this would focus/work with a microscope (Saxon Prodigy MK II Biological Microscope) with a 3d printed tube or something? Trying to find a cost-effective solution to get a digital display working with it.

    • Probably not, it has auto focus and sometimes has issues focusing on the subject based on the lighting conditions. You can probably use G hub to manually adjust focus.

    • Adapters to attach a mobile phone camera to a microscope are pretty cheap

  • would this be that much better than your typical $50 cameras for use over zoom/teams? i assume theres massive downscaling/compression being applied

As the name suggests this is a high end webcam for streamers who want their faces to be clearly seen. It's also tuned for better low light performance.

You probably don't need to exceed $50 if you just want a webcam for Zoom / teams.

As this is Amazon AU website irrespective of where the item is sourced you can take this link to Officeworks and get a price match with another 5% off to get it for ($133.75) and no need to wait for delivery if your local OW has in stock. Be wary though as OW are pedantic and will only price match the exact model and specific colour so you won't be able to get the black for this price only the white…

Officeworks only price match if the seller is “Amazon AU”

Get your facts right. (I work for OW)

Get your facts straight! LMAO… like I said OW are pedantic about their price beat guarantee, you as an OW employee are only highlighting that fact. If OW won't price match based on that then their price match policy isn't worth the paper (or PDF) it's written on and OW are clearly unwilling to keep customers/sale based on a tiny detail… given that the OW price match page : https://www.officeworks.com.au/information/policies/price-be… does not specifically mention anything about Amazon nor that exact requirement then they are just hiding their T&C's from their customers until the point that they ask for a price match after which OW say no based on a technicality so they don't have to match the price.

Like it or not Amazon are simply doing it better than it's competitors, and these days a much much higher percentage of customers don't care where the item ships from, in any case Amazon AU are not skirting any local AU consumer sales laws they are quite simply fulfilling the stock from an international warehouse. Also this item is not a marketplace sale either it's still Amazon just the UK arm, Amazon AU still provided a level of guarantee for all sales on their '.com.au' site additionally Amazon AU also handles all customer service and returns for items sold on the Global Store via the '.com.au' site to so the customer never deals with Amazon UK anyway…

All that will result is OW will loose sales and good will with local customers and Amazon will gain sales. But we are talking about OW here though hahaha… their stock of products has been abysmal even pre-pandemic and local competitors like JB, GG, even HN do it better and they all usually match Amazon AU 'listed' products with no problem.

(BTW, I don't work for Amazon or OW or any other retailer) and again LMAO… good way to loose business OW great job :)

        • Kara, is everything okay?

    • I think OW only price matches Amazon AU. :(
