Gosh, Doordash is crap. Get free delivery on your first order but we’ll still charge you a $5 service fee. Menulog is heaps cheaper and even Ubereats is cheaper, so what’s the attraction of DoorDash outside of this offer!
GC at SB are 8% and sometimes go up to 13%
Strange, UberEats is way more expensive for the same product in my area, and although they both charge "service fees, I've found the UberEats one to be higher than DoorDash.
I've seen this a few times now so Doordash must have upped their service fee for new customers.
For me most expensive is Menulog, Uber Eats, Doordash, Deliveroo in that order.
Main reason I use Doordash is it has both Coles and Reject Shop on there with no inflated prices, 5% service fee and free delivery with Dashpass. Deliveroo/Menulog have no grocery/alcohol stores and Uber Eats has very expensive grocers. Oh and I got 20% CB on Doordash gift cards from Shopback 😁
I'll admit Doordash had one of the most disastrous market entrances I've ever seen though - no communication, no support, no drivers, shady promotions.

Had a very poor experience with Doordash on a previous sign-up attempt. Glitchy app, poor communication, no access to a human for customer service, and a 90 minute wait for a meal that never arrived. Nope.

Created an account with referral, got $15 discount so not sure the cashback will be paid.
Then restaurant ran out but instead of cancelling, replaced my order. Hence I had to cancel. Was desperately trying to find the contact of the shop but nope, not available in the app, you can't contact the restaurant directly.
Placed 2nd order, so have even less hope cashback will be paid…

That box is about Shopback's referral. Shopback's referral bonus requires an accumulated $20 spend, which excludes purchases through Doordash.
I'm still waiting for a missing $20 new customer cashback after signing up and ordering in December :-(. Did activate via the ShopBack browser extension with the icon coloured green, too.
