Will the (today only) free delivery over $50 code FREEDEL50 stuff up this cash back?

    • +2

      This from a previous post

Also, just for future reference. The Rep has advised that any codes advertised on the FC site are able to be used with SB cashback

Would be great to see @gotyourback confirm this though?

      • +8

That's correct, any code listed on the FCL website will be eligible for Cashback :)

        • Awesome & so quick! Thank you

        • Oh you rule gangsta 💓

        • I've got a 10% off sitewide code. Will that disqualify me from 20% CB?

          • @plal: Yes. (Well, it might work, but is it worth the risk?)

Your code is either an expired generic one, or a personal (possibly a first order/welcome?) code. In the later case, the Terms & Conditions say not to use it as it is not listed on either the ShopBack or First Choice Liquor websites.

            Can you confirm, @gotyourback?

    • Almost certainly not, as free delivery codes have historically been listed (and FREEDEL50 is listed on Cashrewards). But until ShopBack updates its site, there's a tiny risk involved.

I'll hit up gotyourback to get the code confirmed/listed.

      • +2

Already confirmed, just above your comment

        • @nismo: Thanks.

A lot of comments got posted by the time I got mine typed and posted. I usually reload the deal in another tab before posting to check for new comments, but forgot to do so this time ☹️

          • @robinCTS: Appears to be a dead heat with the rep

          • @robinCTS: Yes, I realised most comments were around the same time, all good 👍

Let's see if we can all remember next time! Any codes on FC are valid for Cashback, with ShopBack

            • +1

              @nismo: @nismo: Yeah 👍🏻

I've been away from OzB for the last two months, so hadn't seen that previous post.

I'll update the Terms & Conditions footnote in my post to include this info so I'll have a future reference.

OP, your post is a master class in presentation skills.

Have an upvote from me for best use of footnotes in a post.

    • +2

Ha I was thinking the same thing…such good formatting/info!

Hopefully helps to avoid the generic/lazy questions on every Cashback thread.

    • Thanks very much @New Chump and @Dave77!

  • Any suggestion?

    • +3

      Alcohol

      • +2

That would also be my First Ch…nvm

  • Is it 4-6pm or 4-10pm?

    • +1

      @unity1: Oops! It's 4-10pm.

      I've fixed the typo. Thanks.

Flybuys is also offering 8000 points on the app for purchases over $70, it'd go nicely with this cashback.

    • Flybuys is also offering targeted customers 8000 points on the app for purchases over $70

      FTFY

    • Ive must have spent too much at FC before xmas. No offer for me

  • +2

    • +1

In my experience, go direct to @gotyourback to save mucking around any longer

      • Ok thanks

  • +2

I really wish why could get Dan Murphy's at 20%, their whiskey/whisky selection is just so much better (not as good as Nick's Wine Merchants thou)

    • +12

Barely order from Dans these days. I'm sticking to those retailers giving the cashback

  • +2

The Tinnies Ultra Low Alcohol is a great FebFree option for $30/slab (or ~$24.55 after SB). Taste is closer to a 3.5% beer then the other 0% beers.

  • Ordered Kraken ($53) + Voodoo Ranger IPA ($18) with freedel50, cashback & 8000 bonus flybuys points. Glad I waited on the 8K bonus points and hoping another FCL cashback deal comes our way next week!

  • +1

thanks OP, got some craft beer and Dimple whisky

  • +2

I need to spend $120 each week for 2 weeks to get the bonus flybuys points. I wish I had the $50 deal.

    • got 120 as well. nvm. 2 bottle of piper and 1 case of beer. sorted

    • Me too
$90 isn't bad, but honestly not much I want

  • How quickly did your purchase track? I normally get tracking within minutes but not this time. It's been 2 hours since the purchase.

    • Nothing for me either, but the recent Liquorland deal didn't tracked until the following day.

      • +1

Thanks. I reckon I should wait till tomorrow (once the deal is finished).

        • +1

@ddhar: The ShopBack website used to state "up to 2 days" to track, but that's now disappeared. (I assume it's still the same.)

I've never seen it take that long, though. Typically it used to track within 2-3 hours, rarely up to six hours, and once or twice it took until the next day.

      • Same here, always seems to be delays with shopback tracking for me lately

    • +2

My purchase finally tracked, abouty 3.5 hours after purchase.

Oddly the cashback includes GST (but at a dollar less than my actual purchase).

      • yeah that happened with my Liquorland purchase too. but I'll wait until it's actually approved before I get excited.

But I'm just happy about how cheap the low/no alcohol beers before SB are.
it'll make Feb-free easier to handle.

  • I got this sms today from first choice:

"We are unable to fulfil your order at this time and do not have a suitable replacement. A refund will be issued and should arrive back in your account within 2 days. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thanks from First Choice Liquor Team"

The item I ordered was showing as in stock at the store I ordered from. Should I call them up to try and prevent the refund being processed?

    • Why would you want the refunds to be held instead of refunded? The cashback is nulled anyway since the order can't be fulfilled and First Choice won't be paying the associated commission.

      • Well I want the choice of another item of the same price so that I don't lose the cashback and 8k flybuys offer

        • The cashback won't happen as the original order has been cancelled so this is moot point.

          • @ddhar: Yes I know that. That's exactly my point. I should have been given an option to choose a replacement item of the same store value.

And now I don't know whether I qualify for week 1 of the 8000 flybuys points offer or if I will have to make another purchase.

            • @harthagan: Even if you manage to contact First Choice and alter the original order, the cashback will likely still be invalidated. This has been my experience with past alterations, likely because it falls under the 'Exchange' exclusion.

Can't comment on the Flybuys points. My wild guess is if you do get points for the original order (even if it has been refunded), the purchase probably counts.

              • @ddhar: Yes I got the 50 odd flybuys for the original purchase despite the order being cancelled.

If that qualifies me for the first week of the 8000 flybuys points promotion I'll look at it as a blessing that my liver caught a lucky break, well for a week at least haha

  • I ordered with 8k flybuys points and freedel50. But, the estimated delivery date is 09/02. My order would be ineligible for 8k flybuys points… :(

T&C: Eligible online orders must be placed and delivered or collected within the weekly dates to qualify.

Does anyone know whether I qualify for week 1 or week 2 with this order if it is ordered week 1 and delivered in week 2..? or neither?

    • Good question. Wish I knew the answer. I'd say calling flybuys up and asking them might be your best bet. They can make manual adjustments on their end in cases where you are short changed. I've had them do it multiple times when I didn't receive my bonus points.

On the other hand, dealing with first choice over the phone is a terrible experience. They don't know how to solve even the smallest issues, eventually they tell you that someone will call you back at a later time but no one ever does.

      • +1

        Thanks for your reply :)

So, for my week 1 order, I ordered in week1 and got it delivered on week 2.
For week 2 order, I ordered in week 2 and picked it up from the store. I didn’t called to customer service as I wanted to se how it goes first. Then today, I received 8000points :)
