Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein Powder 4.55kg $143.92 Delivered @ Amino Z

140
OM-22

Not the cheapest price ever but looks to be cheapest going at the moment. Seems to be a generic code of OM-22 , 20% off I believe it goes to 22% off if you spend over $199. Looks like it gives the discount for all products on the website.

Extreme milk, Strawberry, & Vanilla instock. Other flavours seems to have additional wait times.

Hopefully this can save some people a few bucks if they just have the amazon sub & save on

Still don't get why this is popular when there are plenty of awesome alternatives, Aussie made that too!

Whats your go to? I previously used bulk nutrients before swapping to ON and couldn't see myself going back. I am going to get a few samples of the aminoz branded protein in this order to compare it

My go to is Uprotein. Didn't like bulk nutrients as much as I expected it to be. I tried the choc mint and choc malt from Amino Z. Stay away from mint. Malt is pretty good.

        • +1

Guess I'm the only one that likes choc mint lol :(

          • @NoiceMemes: Oh, I love mint. But I didn't particularly like Amino Z's mint. It was a bit too much.

      • It’s not the cheapest but it’s the best tasting by far - True Protein

    • Because alot of brands got caught out for not having the quality or quantity and ingredients that they listed on their protein products. ON is renowned and tried and tested and so you know what you get as well as you know the flavouring etc.

    • I was just wondering that too, Amino Z WPI comes in pretty regularly at $25/kg with their coupons. Am I missing something?

I normally go ON but just took delivery today ironicallly of my Uprotein. Reasonable priced ($116 for 2x2kg), lets see how it goes.

  • any good options for whey around the $50 for 2kg range?

    • My last batch was from myprotein, around that price range when they have 40% off. Limited flavours at the moment though. Choc and vanilla goes well.

Cheers ordered Vanilla 1kgs bags see how they go down

+1 for Pure Product Australia WPI. My most recent orders have been $105-$115 for 5KG mixed (choc, banana and vanilla)

      • +1

My last few orders have been a few different products from Pure, good flavours and seems like good quality.

You may want to be careful with pure product. Their lab test results were not so encouraging. BN has sent me attached pure product results….

        • Ouch. Thanks for sharing. Pure have NMI tests going from 2015 to as recent as last year… not showing great improvement.

FWIW I just had a look for what BN says about protein tests — they say a lot. They also invite you to send their proteins for testing to NMI (a group within the AU Gov), who will then send the results directly back to you.

          • @Member 0230: I got some protein from SSD(sports supplement direct) tested by NMI thru BN. Vanilla flavour came out 15-20% less than what was advertised but unflavored was pretty much same as advertised.

  • I used to use https://www.vpa.com.au/ back when they had free shipping. I haven't had a flavour I didn't like. Not sure if they compete price wise though

Thanks for sharing about VPA, didn't know of them til this thread.

Quick compare against my current choice, BN for plant and WPI (choosing Vanilla where it's an option to compare):

      VPA Premium Plant - 1 kg (25 serves x 27.6 g protein = 690 g) $41
      BN Earth Protein - 1 kg (33 serves x 22.4 g protein = 739 g) $33

      VPA WPI - 1 kg (33 serves x 30 g protein = 990 g) $40
      BN Earth Protein - 1 kg (33 serves x 26.6 g protein = 877 g) $40

Seems BN is much better value for plant, and VPA is better value for WPI.

Of course, there's more to it than raw total protein, including flavour, mixability, consistency, etc.

I keep ordering from VPA only cause some of their offers were good (specially 1kg protein free with $100 order)

    • How is the lab test of VPA though?

  • Cheers OP.

    Got 1.

  • Will try this one day.

I've been using Pure Product Australia for the past 2 weeks (chocolate) and is decent, enough to chug down with water.

I actually just ordered another last night (5kg) and has been shipped out today.

  • Thanks OP. Found your post while I was looking for a discount for my next bag. I can almost see the bottom of my current bag
    Hope, they will ship soon.
    Cheers!

    • I ordered mine Wednesday night and shipped the next day (via aus post method)

      • I just put an order this morning and they don't have stock. I got an email saying I have to wait 2 weeks for the new stock to arrive. bummer

  • Thanks OP. Got 5lb ON and creatine. FYI club z doesnt stack with promo code but you get priority shipping.
