    homekit tax. Homekit devices tend to be more expensive. Should be able to intergrate with homebridge i would imagine.

  Great deal but I'll give this one a miss - I'm trying to only buy smart home stuff that I know will end up working with Home Assistant (even though I haven't bothered to set up an HA server or anything yet). In the meantime I already have Grid Connect, Kasa, and Xiaomi Home apps for various things.. don't need a fourth!

  On the topic of smart power adapters, the one that's impressed me the most is the Arlec Grid Connect one from Bunnings with power measuring. Responsive, compact dimensions, and the Grid Connect app for showing power is pretty good (much better than Kasa which sucks)

  Do these work okay in powerboards or block the adjacent socket(s)?

    I had a SP9 (ended up returning because it wouldn't maintain connection to my network and defaults to on when it disconnects) but it was huge and absolutely will block adjacent plugs. Unless the SP3 is considerably smaller but looks identical.
