        You can buy multiple times.

        • oh can you ? ok good to know

          • +4

@aussieaubs: Bought 3 sleeve of different flavours and got 6 coke.

Just need to be separate transaction

  • Is there a big difference in taste between the Starbucks and Nespresso pods?

    • +15

I've found the Starbucks to be the worst of the 3rd party pods and I'm probably the least fussy coffee drinker in Melbourne.

      • +9

Starbucks pods taste like they burnt the crap out of the beans.

      • +1

        Ah. Starbucks.
Famous for free high speed internet and making coffee drinks that disguise the taste of coffee. In fact their substandard coffee..

      • -1

These aren’t 3rd party, they are made by Nespresso, even says ‘Starbucks By Nespresso’ on the pack. They are the exact same aluminium pods from the same factory albeit with a Starbucks “unusual” take on the flavour of good coffee… the house blend flavour is a lungo and its regularly on sale at coles/woollies, so its good value for a pod but only good for the caffeine hit, not the enjoyment of coffee…

      • +1

Disagree, I've found them the best. It's surprising because Starbucks coffee in their stores is terrible. I'm somewhat of a fussy Melbourne coffee drinker.

The Colombia pods are the best.

        • -1

Fussy coffee drinkers don't use coffee pods.

          • @gyrex: They do if they can't afford a new machine.

      • +1

just had one this morning, gross. tastes like their store though so at leasts its consistent crap

        • Yes if there's one word that accurately describes Starbucks it's consistent!

    • +1

no, both are old and stale. freshly roasted and grind as you use is the best way if you have taste buds, lol.
pods are convenient, but flavour is lacking. i guess you can hide it behind milk and sugar and make it palatable.

    • Nespresso are definitely better. That being said, these are way cheaper and you get two cokes for free, so if you need some pods for your in-laws, you can get a sleeve or two.

    • +2

I find Caffe Verona (and only Caffe Verona) is the nicest and better than all the current Nespresso range since Dharkan was discontinued.

      • +1

OMG yes, Dharkan was my all time favourite too..I still can't believe they have discounted it.
I like Verona but also Espresso and Sumatra are pretty good imo

    • +1

Verona, Sumatra and Espresso are really good, roughly on par with original Nespresso in my opinion.
As far as I know these pods are made directly by Nespresso so it should be no surprise.
Note I drink coffe only as short black espresso with no milk and sugar

    • Funnily enough blonde roast is my favourite pod. I don't like most of the original nespresso pods except the dark/light blue summer pods for ice lattes. Otherwise Starbucks blondes are my favs.

  • So you can either choose the 10% discount (S&S) or 2 free coke…..

    • +5

add to cart as per normal, then on checkout cart screen, select the S&S

      • Thanks!!

      • Thanks, I updated OP, I lost $3.

  • +1

Cheaper with subscribe and save. Cart needs to be manipulated a bit.

  • dumb starbucks

    • Haha

  • how much are the pod machines?

  • +1

but its this price at coles/woolies every other week when its on sale

    • Except it includes 2 cans of Coke with it

      • And possible expired coffee?

I ordered the blonde roast - it had a production date of 27/08/20 and best before of 28/08/21. Unacceptable.

Complained. The checkout process somehow made the free Coke not free, so had to argue the point that it was free and said i'll happily send it back, but in the end they gave me a full refund, let me keep the expired coffee (which I didn't drink) and Coke (which I did).

      • 2 cans of coke!!!!

  • +2

Verona tastes great! Not a fan of the rest at all. Also works in a dolce gusto machine with an adapter from kee

    • Hi naedtrax, have you got a link for the adapter?

  • +1

    $4.32 using S&S and 2 free coke 250 ml.

  • +2

Awesome deal, got 8 cans of coke by only buying 4 sleeves

  • +1

ordered for the free coke, now need a machine.

  • +2

    Nice one thanks OP.

Forgot to mention, Urban Brew coffee tastes the best for us. And if you buy in bulk like 90 pods, they work out to be quite cheap.

    • Thanks for the feedback!
Been searching for pods and Urban Brew started popping up in ads.
Wondered what they were like for what looks like a really good price.
Which ones did u try, if u don't mind sharing please?
      Thanks!

      • +1

I make my coffee with Happy Happy Soy Boy using milk frother, taste pretty close to what you get from the cafes. We usually go for intensity 12, we have also tried decaf and lower intensity ones and were all pretty good.

        • Thanks so much for the tips!
Will give them a go next!
If they have a referral system, would be happy to use your share code👍

          • @MissP: No worries, happy to share :)

Don't think they will have referral code anytime soon, but try to Google Urban Brew promo code, sometimes they have time-bound codes hidden on one of their pages.

Already shipped! And due to arrive tomorrow :)

  • Anyone thinks the Coke no sugar tastes not that different from the full flavour OG Coke? Is is safe for people who have diabetes to drink it?

  • Cheap pods for nespresso machine - I've been using L'OR for a while and it isn't exceptional, but drinkable. Will give these a crack.
Got a hunch I'm getting some Nespresso pods for valentines day; but can justify this purchase with "not knowing about them" ;)
I've had Starbucks in Korea, America, U.K, and Australia… Korea makes excellent coffee/sides of cake etc. it's actually a good coffee shop; do recommend.
I chased the same experience everywhere else - everywhere else; insert big fat thumbs down emoji here

    • Blonde roast. The rest are crap but blondes are the spit roast you want.

Between Starbucks and Nespresso I cannot imagine there's more coffee than sugar in those pods.

    • what sugar? legit question I have not noticed any sweetness

      • Don't listen to this guy, he knows nothing or he's trolling, there's no sugar in Nespresso pods, nor in Starbucks' pods.

  • got it for the same price at Woolies, minus the free coke of course

  • My pods and cokes shipped in separate packages lol
