[Price Error] Lenovo USB-C 65W AC Adapter (AU) $15 Delivered @ Lenovo

Moved to Forum: Original Link Reason: Price error, not honoured.

My first post!
4.5/ 5 stars and ships in 6-9 days, Not sure how this fares against the Dell charger posted a few days ago but I have ordered two :)
From their page:

Lenovo AC Adapter offers fast and efficient charging. Keep one in the office, one at home, and another in your case for convenient access to power. Just plug it into an available outlet to deliver AC power to compatible Lenovo laptops and recharge its battery. Lenovo AC adapters are compact, energy efficient and backed by a 1-year warranty.

Update: For all those of you feeling bad about their cancelled orders, well my order has been cancelled as well. Guess that's the price one has to pay for OZB fraternity :) Now back to Dell, asking them not to cancel my order that I asked them to cancel after I ordered Lenovo's ;)

    • +6

      what's that? a cancellation email?

  • GAN forever .. so skip this one.

  • -1

    $99 now

  • Damn, missed it. Gotta check ozbargIn more often.

  • Missed it… MISSED IT NOOOOOO

    • +6

yes, you missed a cancellation email.

      • Did you get one?

      • Going through the comments now… looks like I'm stuck lugging the brick for my Legion 5 Pro till something better comes along. Not spending $99 more, this laptop set me back enough already.

        • +1

I have actually tried charging my L5P using the 65W charger in this deal, but the L5P complained that the charger was too slow, and I noticed it charged my L5P very very slowly when I was only doing web browsing. (To be fair, it is very slow in comparison to the 300W brick my L5P came with.)

I haven’t tried to do a 0-100% charge using the 65W charger whilst web browsing, but my guess is that it would take a very long time to charge (assuming it can even reach 100%).

  • No cancellation email here, still showing $15 on the My Orders page (fingers crossed)

    • +1

Click into 'view order status' and it will probably show as $0.

      • +1

Yep mine says $0. I assume that means cancelled.

        • Assume cancelled. My colleague got the exact same in order status.

      • oh noes :(
my card got charged $15 tho
        ah, no biggie either way

        • if you got chance then it sounds like you got one?

          • @Circly: The $15 on my card is still in "authorisation only".

          • @Circly: my cancellation email just arrived

        • +3

From prior experience, the $15 charge on your card is only a pre-authorisation charge, and if your item is not shipped within a handful of business days, it will drop off your card.

Lenovo only charges your card once your item has been shipped, so the pre-authorisation charge (the current charge on your card) only means that Lenovo knows that your card is legit and has sufficient funds.

You also have no way of asking Lenovo sales agents to charge your card before the item ships, as they have no way of allowing that in their business processes.

  • my Cashback from Shopback still not tracked LoL

    • Mine tracked (got $3 cashback and I bought 2).

      • Nothing for me, for that one time i thought of not doing screen recording dude :( so pissed @ SHOPBACK AU

Anyway not that pissed too, because Lenovo already bloody cancelled order anyway, So wouldn't have had that Cashback approve

This may honestly deter me from Buying from Lenovo (directly from website) in future honestly, can't trust them to honor anything.

  • Colleague got a cancellation email. So theres that. No 65 watt chargers for j00!!!

  • Lenovo just request my payment method again as I use zip pay card, which is a one time use only card when making the purcahse.
Seems like the $15.00 offer is still on the table, otherwise they can cancel the order without asking my payment method again.

    fingers crossed

    • Nah, they are cancelling it. Zippay is probably one that they have to do manually instead of automated.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused; however, we have identified a system pricing issue that occurred between 02.02.2022 – 07.02.2022. They needed 5 days to find out this pricing issue??

    • +3

more like the Oz B hoard took five days to find it.

  • Sad. They honored sale for the $12 65W round-pin laptop charger back in October.

  • I’m surprised they cancelled this. $15 isn’t that cheap for a USB-C charger.

    • It is for a decent 65w.

    • I like your definition of not cheap when 650+ voted and some bought like 3. Lol

  • =(

From the link on the cancellation email.

    9252 clicks

I think we need a staging system on suspected price errors where the general public doesn't see a post for a few days. To allow us a chance to slip some small orders in and get them shipped.

EDIT - I mean allow a few days for us to check if it's an error or not……… :)

    • What about everyone else's FOMO?

  • +2

    Order cancelled.

    • Yep, just got the email too :(

      • We need a new law to prevent such BS or anyone can simply post a click bait and dishonor it later.
For us there is no way to tell if that is really a deal or price error.

        • We need a new law to prevent such BS

you want a law to prevent random people posting possible price mistakes on ozbargain?

          • @SBOB: i think he means to prevent retailers from doing so. there are laws around inaccurate price tags in store, but nothing for online it seems.

          • @SBOB: Nope. Frankly speaking such behavior was nothing new, lots of dodgy business have been using it as a way of free ads. My personal observation was that there were quite a few business routinely have price errors a couple of times a year. Since there is no penalty so they would abuse it again and again at no cost.

Some countries actually have passed laws to fight against that.

  • +1

    wah, order cancelled.

  • +2

Yup. Cancelled. Wonder if it's because of the number of people putting in massive orders. I ordered just 1, because I only needed 1.

    • You could be onto something. I ordered 2 because I needed 0.

It is however the exact charger that came with my Yoga so jokes aside I could have used 1 or 2 spares to leave plugged in around the place.

    Boo :(

    • +3

A former Lenovo worker is now homeless for the pricing error

      • +2

They take away your job and your home?

That seems like a harsh firing …

  • +1

Order cancelled email too…. Oh well

  • +1

    Cancelled too.

They better come out with something else I don't need so I can buy 2 of those instead.

  • +1

    Had mine cancelled too. Lame.

  • +1

just got cancellation email too, better to buy the portable charger instead

  • +1

Same, got the cancellation email too.

  • +1

    cancelled

  • +1

Yep, just been pinged with the cancellation. Party's over.

  • +1

Yup, cancellation email due to pricing error. They did this after trying to get payment through twice. Sussy..

  • +1

    Just got cancellation email.

  • +2

guys i think we can stop posting about our cancellation emails now

    • +2

I agree with you hence have a + vote to counter the neg.

Pointless in everyone telling us that their order was cancelled. We already know as they were all cancelled. Unless somebody has something new to add (worth reading), then pointless posting a comment telling us the obvious. It saves a "New Comment" notification popping up.

  • +1

    Just got a cancellation email from.Lenovo 😮‍💨

  • +1

No I need to post my cancellation too!

  • the bastards didn't honour their mistake. Order cancelled due to a pricing error.

  • My order was canned as well.

I was under the impression once money exchanges hands it's a contract.

    Ahh well.

  • they didnt give any reason for the cancellation either!

    • The email said "we have identified a system pricing issue that occurred between 02.02.2022 – 07.02.2022"

  • -3

I got a cancellation email today. Will never buy from them.

  • Has anyone checked their order status?

    Mine isn't showing cancelled yet.

    • Mine isnt either but they haven't got around to actually cancelling all orders yet. The email says "Once we have cancelled your order…"

  • -1

Dirty Lenovo cancelled mine as well!

  • Cancelled! grrrr

  • Cancelled

  • I didn’t get a cancellation email…

    because i missed the deal!

  • Reminds me of the NOLOVE laptop deals from a few years ago which they also cancelled. Never forget.

  • +3

I think it's a bit naughty to sign me up for marketing emails on a cancelled order

  • -2

Now the question is.. Did OP wait for a shipping update before posting this deal?

    • +1

Is that a requirement? Some deals could potentially end before getting one.

And what happens if you see a great deal for something which you dont need.

      • Its more that OP should at least benefit from the deal since they found it.
Its true that the deal might've ended or price changed by vendor by the time OP gets a shipping confirmation

  • -6

Just got a shipping notice ……..
    ……
    ……
    ……
    ……
    ……

    "Dear <XXXXX>,
Your order has been cancelled as you requested.

We thank you for your interest in our products and hope we can help you in the future"

I didn't request to get in cancelled, you did!

    • +3

Same here. But I didnt request for cancelation.

    • +1

      LOL. How the turntables. 👎

    • Interesting they admitted it was a price error in my cancellation email

      • +1

yours is the first email, the one above is the second email

        • Ah true. Got the second email

    • Well, the alternative is Lenovo charges you additional $84. I don't think you want to buy this for $99.

Even if you switched to the other 65W charger, it is still $50.60 total.

    • +2

yeh as below i also did not request the cancellation

thinking if i have time i will contact them to reissue the email to confirm the right wording of them cancelling… its the principle of them owning up their mistakes

(i have better things to do lol)
