[Price Error] Lenovo USB-C 65W AC Adapter (AU) $15 Delivered @ Lenovo

Moved to Forum: Original Link Reason: Price error, not honoured.

My first post!
4.5/ 5 stars and ships in 6-9 days, Not sure how this fares against the Dell charger posted a few days ago but I have ordered two :)
From their page:

Lenovo AC Adapter offers fast and efficient charging. Keep one in the office, one at home, and another in your case for convenient access to power. Just plug it into an available outlet to deliver AC power to compatible Lenovo laptops and recharge its battery. Lenovo AC adapters are compact, energy efficient and backed by a 1-year warranty.

Update: For all those of you feeling bad about their cancelled orders, well my order has been cancelled as well. Guess that's the price one has to pay for OZB fraternity :) Now back to Dell, asking them not to cancel my order that I asked them to cancel after I ordered Lenovo's ;)

    • Not for the switch unless you want to possibly damage it.

  • Thanks OP, got 2!

  • Holy …!
Lenovo says "3182 people have bought this today".

    • +1

Now "4002 people have bought this item today".

  • +2

Just an FYI if you haven't purchased from Lenovo before:

    • While they use DHL, it is one of the slowest DHL service (quite slow). Expect 3 weeks delivery (maybe even longer).
    • The tracking events are generally quite useless. You might find events saying package rejected, returned to sender. However, the package is still being sent.
    • Chinese New Year so expect further delay. The item is shipped from China.
    • +1

And they will knock on your door for a signature. If nobody home, it goes back to the depot. (not local PO!)

  • After buying this, dont forget to check this deal out

    • I'll have to buy one of those to go with my bargain charger

  • Thanks OP - got 2 for $30. Bargain!

  • Thanks, didn't really need any but had $67 credit so I got 2 for free. Used CashRewards too so I will possibly be paid to receive these.

  • Anyone knows if it will work Ideapad Slim 5 pro? It has a USB C port so I am assuming it will. Sorry for being naive.

    • 14" or 16"? Pretty sure my 14" came with this charger.

      • 16”

    • AC adaptor

      Integrated graphics model: 95W USB-C
Discrete graphics model: 135W Slim Tip

Not enough power, defs wouldn't use this.

      • So what I can’t use it or will it just charge slow?

        • +1

It'll charge at 65w and if it uses more, the battery will discharge slowly as necessary and shut down once the battery is out of power.

    • My L5P charges from a 65W USB-C charger so maybe.

  • what is this dell charger deal?

Can i use dell 130w usb c charger on charging nintendo switch?

  • -2

    Amazing! Bought 8!! Thank you!

  • +1

congrats for 200 votes on first post OP

    • Almost 600 now, well done indeed

  • +1

Lenovo Education price for this is $60+… for those checking

  • +1

I have bought 4 in the past but my cats keep chewing them. Bought another 7

    • +8

      7 cats?

      • +2

7 chargers. For 6 cats. That way when they get electrocuted he'll still have one charger available to use.

        • +1

You must be mistaken. Cats clearly have 9 lives, and so after it’s all said and done, he’s got one for the home and one for the office.

    • Sounds like you need some CAT5 cables

  • Would this be able to charge an Acer Nitro 5 through the thunderbolt port? Instead of the regular barrel connector?

    • If it supports charging over Type-C then yeah it should!

    • From my guess and little research, answer would be No.

    • Wondering the same..

      • Looks like it doesn't support charging through usbc port.

        • Even with thunderbolt? Worth a try I guess for $15

          • +3

@Slave1: Be bit cautious stuffing a charger into a port not built for charging… Done it before and kaboom lol

            • @R3XNebular: Thanks for the heads up - reverted to $55 before I ordered so probably a blessing lol

  • Quality comparison vs the Dell charger?

    • +1

Had 400 of these or the 45W versions through at work, think we've had 1 die without being eaten by domestic house animals..

      • Thanks for the confirmation. Was more thinking in terms of power output, I've seen some dodgy USB-C adapters do wonders to PSU's upstream if they aren't outputting clean power. Just wanted to check if anyone had somehow tested or knew of anything since this seems to cheap to be true.

        • I've got two of these in my house, they charge every device you can plug into them. Old Dell, new Dell, Old Lenovo, new Lenovo. Macbook air i5 and M1. Even my picky old HP probook that only works with a HP charger works. Also charges every phone and tablet in the house.

          Thoroughly recommend these!

          Buy 5 while you can!

  • Post receives 150+ votes?
    Item I don't really need?

    Ordered!

    • +3

      That’s the spirit

    • By "Ordered!" I assume that means you just got 7 of these things.

      • Only 1. But checking the order I may getting 0.

        • OOS?

          • @Click_It: Not 100% sure yet but they may be cancelling the order due to it being a price error.

Will these 'super fast charge' a modern Samsung phone?

    • Yes.

edit. It'll charge the phone are the maximum amount of W it can take up to 65W.

      • +3

Nope.I do not think so.If it does not support PPS it will only charge the samsung phone at 18w.

    • +4

Unfortunately not, I've used one and it is just fast charging and not super fast charging

      • I don't have a new Samsung but if you enable the super fast charge, it should be able to pull 25W/40W off the charger right? Like why would it be restricted to the 18W.

        edit. you're right it's only rated for Output: 5V-2A / 9V-2A / 15V-3A / 20V- 3.25A

        • No, it doesn't work, even if you enable super fast charging. I have this charger from a laptop and a Samsung S21.

    • +1

Yes, it can "fast charge" my Samsung S20 FE

  • +1

Copped, now I just need to find something to charge with it…

  • Now Dell need to price match ;)

  • +1

Anyone know if this can be used to charge the switch?

    • +2

For charging the Switch alone, any USB-C spec charger should be sufficient—better if it supports Power Delivery. However, powering the dock requires more than just PD and it seems Nintendo has a proprietary chip in the dock/adapter to ensure precise voltage as needed.

The reason so many Switches are getting bricked with 3rd party docks/adapters is that the voltage isn't managed properly when docked and it doesn't play nicely with the Switch.

    • +2

      Don't risk it.

  • LOL. Just ordered.

Thank you for your order, Please_input_Firstname!

  • Should be fine for charging Dell laptop requiring 65W?

    • Depends on the model. Check your existing charger for what Ws it uses.

edit. if it's 65W. yes it will work, as long as it charges through usb-c

      • Actually existing Dell USB C charger is 45W. This should be still allright?

        • +1

Yeah it should be fine. Mines the same, I bought a dell 65 and that works, I expect this lenovo one to work no probs too.

        • +1

Should be fine, your dell laptop will only take power it needs from the higher wattage.

  • I don't know why I bought two, but I'm glad I did. Thanks OP!

  • Wish i didn't see this. Brought 1 and now i've got to spend $500+ on something to use it on.

    • +3

Just use it to charge your phone

  • +2

Our workplace has had a gluten of laptop charging ports die and we use lenovo chargers.

    • +5

Are you guys going gluten free?

      • Looks that way thanks auto correct!

  • 3,000+ clicks already & people buying more than one: so many cancellations to be expected. As if Lenovo has thousands of these in an AU warehouse, ready to be shipped… They would probably only sell a couple of these a week under normal circumstances.

Also, they're still full price in their other markets (overseas) so looks a lot like a pricing error.

    • Don't assume that. Lenovo sold another 65W charger (not USB-C) for $12 way back.

Most likely Lenovo will ship these. However, there is a slight twist. From past experience, the tracking events are pretty bad (and a bit scary). 3 out of 3 items I bought from Lenovo had returned to sender events, but they did eventually arrive. It's the slowest DHL service and taking 3 weeks is normal.

      • So they're not shipping from Australia?

        • Lenovo, Dell etc etc don't ship from Australia except for the rarest of occasions.

        • No, shipped from China. With Chinese new year holiday, don't expect shipment any time soon.
Also, it is the slowest DHL service (it's not courier service at all) and the events will be a bit scary. Normally, after showing item returned to sender, there is still a really long wait. The tracking events are pretty useless, except you know when Lenovo sent it out. Most of the time, you have no idea when it will be delivered to you.

This will get interesting. I reckon a lot of people who bought it without knowing how Lenovo ship these will get scared once they see item returned to sender. With Lenovo accessories, don't get them if you are in a hurry.

  • Ordered one. Thanks OP!

  • +1

Bought 1, now need a deal on laptop.

  • Thanks , bought two. This is exact same charger that came with my work T14s Second Gen laptop.

  • Will this work on a dell?

  • Hi OzBargainers

Could people past if they have received which laptop this adaptor has worked with, I have
    - Yoga i7
    - Thinkpad E15
    - X1 Carbon Gen 3

These above all can take 65w USb-type C but not sure if this adaptor will work with them?
    An pointers?

    Thanks

    • +1

Should work with both as their natural charger is a 65W usbc
      - Yoga i7
      - Thinkpad E15

won't work with the X1 Carbon Gen3 doesn't have charging through usbc

    • -2

The key difference I think with this $15 vs the $50 ones from Lenovo will be $50 one will allow for Smart Voltage: Its PD technology automatically detects and delivers 5V/2A,9V/2A ,15V/3A or 20V/3.25A.

  • +1

Ignored all the Teams msgs coming in and quickly ordered this, just in case it's a pricing error:)

  • Great stuff!
Needed one for my other half's surface Go.
Bought a spare as well. Cause why not.

  • Thanks OP, great post

  • Has anyone received an email confirmation for your order?

Edit.. came through an hr later!

  • what does it do? Ordered 2.

    • Your bank account.
      And mine, bought 2.

  • +1

solid find my man! congrats on a great first post!

  • Thanks OP, bought 2!

  • is this ok for ideaPad 5 Pro ?
    thanks

  • Reckon this is a pricing error? if Yes, will Lenovo process our order anyway?

  • +2

For all those hackers buying, but do not have any high-power USB-C devices, you can use these cheap boards to produce a 20V or 15V power supply for your project:
