      • thanks!

When we ara having issue by NAB don't put our qff number even though we did in the application, I was wondering if it is a manual job that some people didn't bother to do ? Surely when they received lots of phone call, they should rectify the issue ?

  • Does anyone know if they approve over weekend or if just 9-5 Monday to Friday?

    • pretty sure just mon-fri, 9-5.

      • I submitted last weekend and got approved Tuesday, card arrived Thursday.

  • Website says "Receive your NAB Qantas Rewards Premium Card in five days"

Post approval NAB text message says "You'll receive your cards in 7-10 business days" :-(

  • +1

Partner applied on 9th of Feb, nab didn't approve nor decline the application. After all this hassle and multiple phone calls, nab stopped responding to follow up emails. We're only getting the automated reply, nab just ignores all messages.

  • Are the bonus points meant to be listed on the statement? I received my card over a week ago and spent over the required amount ($6000+) but on my statement received today it says only 5000+ points?

    • +3

From memory, mine were not. I did end up seeing my bonus points in my frequent flyer account either on the same day, or in the next couple of days.

EDIT: I should add, check that NAB have your frequent flyer card number.

    • Did you get your bonus points? I spent over the required amount as well but my statement doesn't show the bonus 100,000 points..

      • No I still haven't gotten them. I called up the number on the back of the card today and they confirmed I've spent the required amount, and said they would send a note to the accounts team and call me when they hear back from them. I'll call them back in a few days if they don't get in touch by then

  • Got my card approved and sent within a week after providing all the required details.

spent the required amount and got first statement. Checked my QFF, but no update on points. Called up NAB via the number behind the card and the rep said the QFF number on application isn't getting carried across. I will now have to wait for next statement to get points (and bonus points) before I cancel.

Took me a long time to get to someone in the call centre just to verify that my QFF card wasn't linked (call issues and dropouts).

    • Did you call the number on the card? I got through within a minute.

    • I just got off the phone with NAB and my QFF also did not transfer to the card. All fixed now.

  • +3

Great use of time, partner spent 45minutes on hold on the phone, to then get told we're just 19minutes too late and to call back tomorrow.

  • Applied on 21st and approved on 28th. Had to go in the branch to verify my ID. Now to wait for the card.

  • What phone number are people ringing to correctly get through to Loyalty / Rewards?

    • +1

The phone number on the back of the card is for NAB Concierge

      How to access NAB Concierge

This complimentary service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. This is how to contact us.

      • Signature cardholders call 1300 489 410
      • Hmm ok. Chat said to call 13 22 65 being a direct line to the loyalty rewards team (apparently)…

      • Tried to call concierge which is meant to be 24/7 but got an automated message to say they are only Mon to Fri… That doesn't sound correct?

        • The automated message is part of their service.

  • It keeps saying nab encountered an error when I go through and hit submit, anyone else get that?

  • I had 3,077pts credited to my QFF account. However, the bonus points haven't arrived.

The purchases were Alibaba + Dell.

Any idea on why the bonus points don't arrive with the other points? Has anyone received their bonus points yet?

    • Same issue with me - Bonus points will most likely come through in the second statement.

    • Same. Funded broker account categorised as a purchase. Just normal points

    • +2

I called Nab concierge customer support, they said it will take 2 statement cycles to Credit Bonus Points

      • That's BS, in October when I had this card, it was applied on the first statement.
(I only got the points in Qantas after the second statement because they didn't link my QFF.)

    • Yeah same - hopefully we'll get it in the second statement

  • can you sign up without aus payslips?

    • You can try, even with aus payslips it's hit and miss.
Partner applied 9 Feb, application is still not processed. Called NAB a 3rd time (after multiple emails, visiting branch, another few emails), now it's going to be processed … soon …
We asked for ETA … "unfortunately we can't say, but soon".

Note: I have no experience applying for this without aus payslips. But don't really have a lot of confidence in their processes.

    • I just signed up with bank statements showing payg income. No payslips required

      YMMV obviously

      Approved the day after upload

  • +2

    21/02 - Applied online.
23/02 - Received email for proof of income. Uploaded via IB.
28/02 - Received email saying application was approved.
02/03 - Received text message that card was sent out.
03/03 - Received card in mail. $3k spend met.

    • Fingers crossed the bonus points are paid in the first months statement

      • Only if you have called up to link the QFF number before statement due.

        • I called way before statement due date, But my 1st Statement shows only 3200 points which earned through spending. Bonus Points not credited

          • +1

@madhuy: Same here. I'll wait till next statement and see if the bonus points are credited.

            • @ddhar: Same here, called up to ask and they confirmed I had met the spend but said they would forward the query to the accounts department and get back to me. Still no bonus points

          • @madhuy: does this mean you just pay how many ever days the card is active for?

      • +1

I called up the day I received my card to link QFF as per comments, met the spend in first 10 days, got the first statement and $195 AF has been processed but no bonus points yet
Hoping it comes through by the second statement!

        • i just had to pay the balance minus the annual fee

  • +1

Tried to apply today. Website has crashed 5 times with the following message:

    "An unexpected error has occurred
We're unable to process your application at this time.

Please try again later or contact us directly for help on 13 13 12."

There's no way to get back to the application even though I have a reference number.

    • +1

I had this problem, then changed from Google DNS to Open DNS and it worked. Coincidence? Not too sure but it was a bloody frustrating experience, had to restart about 4 applications and a 15 minute process took 45 minutes.

  • Sorry if this has already been answered but if you hold an everyday savings account with nab, do you still count as a “new card holder”? Thanks!

    • I'm in the same situation, worked for me.

    • +1

      Yes.

You're having a Saving account - not credit card.

  • Does anyone know what number and or prompts you call to get through to someone about the allocation of the qantas points?

    • +1

online chat gave me this number 13 22 65 - select option 2 and say "LOYALTY"

      • That’s the last thing I would say to a bank. Especially this bank.

  • Do I have to be approved by 9 March or just apply before then?

    • +1

      Apply by 9/03.

  • +1

Just called NAB to link my QFF as well, 40 mins phone call including being in the queue.

Bizarre that it wasn't captured during application. First time I've had to do this.

    • +1

Just received my card today. Called in, and to my surprise, my QFF is linked.

I guess it's hit and miss.

  • Sorry if the question has been asked before, I managed to complete the $3000 minimum spend, but only just realised that they didn't add my frequent flyer details even though I did provide information on application. The rep said that it would be backdated and I should see all the bonus points and points earn in the next 1 - 2 statement cycle. Can I still go ahead and cancel the card, but still receive the points down the track? Thanks in advance.

    • +2

I wouldn't risk it - once you close your account I don't think they can award/apply the QFF points

      • Thanks for your quick reply.

    • When you cancel the card, NAB explicitly call out that anything earned since the last statement period won't be awarded - not sure if this also applies to "earned but not yet transferred" points though.

  • What are people using QFF points these days? Local flights? If you're using it to buy goods/services - do you mind sharing what specific deals are worthwhile buying from the Qantas store?

    • +2

      Premium cabin redemptions

      • Ah I see

    • usually classic rewards for domestic flights or international + some on the qantas store when 40% off (random stuff like headphones, trackpad…)

    • +1

In 2020, I've managed got Business class upgraded for 50K points on flight from Vietnam back to Sydney - just a month before the border lockdown.

Now just collecting points and wait for the right time to travel again.

  • Dammit missed this!

    • Lol, it would have been better if I would have missed this post.
I asked partner to apply on 9 Feb or something, application is still not being processed. Might call them again tomorrow, but getting kinda tired of chasing them.
I can already guess the update they will provide: it will be processed soon, it's in the queue …

  • +1

credit card application from 9 Feb is still not processed. Now it was "escalated", feedback now is that it will be processed in the next 48 hours …
Update: After calling again, now they approved it 30minutes after the call. At the moment it only makes me less unsatisfied …

  • +2

For future reference: verify that Qantas loyalty is properly linked and that bonus is active:

Call 13 22 65 - select option 2 and say "LOYALTY", confirm by saying "yes"

    See also here

It looked like almost everything went wrong in our application, but this time bonus was properly registered and Qantas was linked too (so something did go right too).

  • Just got an email saying my points will be credited by 15/4/22. Anyone else?

    • Yes

    • When did you open your card? I still haven't got any email from them abt my bonus point…

      • opened 24/2 and received card and met min spend around one week later

  • Just called up and my QFF no. was linked correctly through the setup process :) No need for the call.

    • You're must be one of the very lucky one :)

    • Maybe no need to call for you. General advice is to call anyway, or you might learn the hard way that Qantas isn't linked!

  • I applied and was conditional approved on 09/03/2022. But due to document check, my card was fully approved today 11/03/2022. Will I still get 100,000 points?

    • Yeah providing your application was lodged pre the expiry, you’ll be fine.

    • Yes, my partner applied early Feb, only approved today, bonus is active. Verified by calling them : see here
You might want to call them anyway to check if your Qantas # is linked, ask them about bonus too.

  • Met the spend requirement in the first statement period and had my QFF number linked. Despite receiving points for the spend, didnt get the bonus points. Called NAB and they said it can take "up to 90 days" for tbe reward to be sent to QFF account. Pretty disappointing. Interested to hear if anyone has heard anything else?

    • Yeah some people here also haven't got their bonus points…. NAB said the bonus would be rewarded on the second statement but who knows…

  • +1

Given all the previous comments about QFF numbers not being linked, I called today, which is 2 days after receiving my new card to check. They had the number on file. Perhaps the earlier issues have been resolved?

    • +1

They probably have realised (after 6months since the similar deal was posted in Sep/21) how much hassle that has costed to their CS team (to manual update the QFF number to each account applied) and get it fixed in their IT department.

  • +4

    See previous dates/info here.

11/03 - received an email with subject: "You’ve earned 100,000 bonus Qantas Points".
    14/03 - 1st statement issued.
15/03 - 100k bonus points received. Spoke with live chat to cancel my card and get a payout figure. Agent confirmed that I don't need to pay the annual fee charged. The payout figure did not include the annual fee charged.

    Done and dusted.

    • damn you must be lucky!
      I still haven't got my 100k bonus points yet…

    • Did you at any point call up to confirm QFF number linked?

      • When I received my card in the mail I called them straight away.

      • +1

I called them straight away then I was told the QFF number has been successfully linked though my application. I think they finally fixed the bug at least from very recent.

    • +1

I was planning on doing the same, but NAB is one of the rare one where you get 1 points per $ spent so now I am thinking of keeping it and cancelling the CBA (after the trip to use the travel insurance).
Also CBA is annoying with the $2500 minimum spent a month.

  • Are they strict on 'everyday purchases' ? Can i pay strata fee and still count towards the $3000 spend?

    • +1

      Strata will count.

  • +1

    Data point.
    Applied 5/3/2022.
    Card received 12/3/2022.
    Spent $3000 12/3/2022.
100,000 bonus points deposited into my account 22/2/2022
Card cancelled 24/3/2022. Refund for 11 months of annual fee.

    Churn and burn forever!

    • Wow, "100,000 bonus points deposited into my account 22/2/2022" did NAB time travel to credit you the points?? Lol

      • Apologies, unfortunately not. That would have been the best churn ever though!

        22/2/2022 = 22/3/2022.

        • I don't understand how their system worked. I applied on 10/2. Spent $3000 within a week. and I still haven't got my bonus point yet?

          • @sugardumpling: You sure they got your QFF on file?

Have you been getting the regular $1x1 points?

            • @kickling: Yeah on my first statement I got 4,000 points into my Qantas account but no bonus point. Didn't even get the email either.
Have you got yours? Did you get yours in your first statement?

              • @sugardumpling: Next thing to check is whether you actually signed up for the promo.

Otherwise, just wait out one more statement.

Yes, I got an email to say congrats, you made it. Points coming in next statement.

                • @kickling: I received an email from NAB telling me that I had qualified for the bonus points before they were deposited into my QFF account. Email said this could take up to 2 statements, but credited within days after the email.

                  • @DrRalph: I haven’t got that email :/

                  • @DrRalph: My friend got that email from NAB last week but still hasn't got his bonus deposited into his QFF account. seems a bit random
