  • not a bad deal. well, ivy is coming out in 10 days.

    • But I think not the actual products themselves.

  • +2

ivy is at best a 3% performance increase anyways, idle power savings are non existant, they are however a bit better power wise under load, and they have a much better onboard GPU (almost double the performance)

    • ya, but only compare with those with onboard GPU.

      • Yep onboard GPU.

Ive been mucking around with a few desktop varients over the last month or so, 3570k and 3770k's, the new intergrated GPU is pretty decent, definitely onpar with AMD's current solution. Just dont expect a huge performance leap, or a heap step in overclocking, well not on air or water anyways.

  • +1

Tempted to get HP Folio 13-1016TU.

  • Ivy bridge is not that attractive for those with non-intel video chip.
Bonus 2 Years Anti-Theft is great
Most HP are great cos support WIDI.
HP 13 inch ultrabook doesnt support WIDI thou.

    Can think about it.

    • I think "anti theft" is a misleading name. Preventing a thief from using it is not the same as preventing a thief from stealing it.

  • i'll be waiting for 'comes with free upgrade to windows 8' OS can be expensive outright

  • whats the best deal from this offer? ive got money to play with so which should i pick.

the 13-1008 ultrabook? or an envy/pavillion? tell meeee please haha i want to order one today…

    • Would be the 1016 if you want an ultra book, the only difference between it and the 1008 is the slightly slower processor (i3 in the 1016 vs i5 in the 1008) everything else is the same.

Depends if you want an ultra book i suppose, or want a conventional laptop.

      • hmm.. i suppose the light weight + good battery life etc are big plus's? I don't know. But the Ultrabooks seem popular, obviously must be a good product… would I be able to game on it? Or do music production/editing?

        Thanks for the reply <3

        • Wouldnt be able to game on it, not to sure on the music production/editing, depends on how cpu intensive the work is (which i would hazard a guess and say its IO intensive, in which the ultrabook would be fine)

  • Hi guys, how about HP Pavilion dv6-6135TX Notebook $747?
I missed last deal for dv6-6024TX, does 6135TX better than 6024TX?

    • Looks pretty good to me. Can't find any info about the battery though.

  • I am wondering whether those closing stores will put additional 15% off on the price listed on the site.
