My original Megaboom 1 died this morning so I had a browse for a new Megaboom 3 and found this deal on Amazon AU. This price only appears to be for the Night Black colour.

Pretty decent price for this speaker.

This one is sold by booksandgiftsemporium but there is one sold directly by Amazon for $210.90 with Prime delivery here: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07K4B28T6/ref=ewc_pr_i…

Been looking for a deal, thanks!

How is this vs the Boom 3?

I was after a more portable, smaller, compact size, but Megaboom 3 has better, louder sound, longer battery life, and better value right (Boom 3 $199 currently)

Oh and JB doesn't match Amazon, does it?

    • It's obviously bigger in size but not by a massive amount. It is waaay better for audio quality though. The boom 3 is great for the highs but pretty average for mids and poor for lows imo - sounds a bit flat unless it's really loud.

This one sounds way better at lower volumes. Source: I have about 4 of each for work and home use. The smaller ones fit in portable bags where drink bottles would fit and the large ones are easier to station on the charging stands.

      • Oh that's really reassuring, about the better audio quality.

Do you know where to buy the charging stand btw?

        • I got an official one years ago for about $30 on ebay but there seems to ha e been abusive price jack on them.

Maybe just go the third party seller on amazon

    • Not sure if they are all the same but the JB where I live in North QLD said they don't match Amazon when I was in there last week trying to get them to match the Boom 3 price.

  • Approaching 4 years old now this line, would have thought a Boom 4 is incoming soon.

    • Yeah and the price of these still seem too high

      • Own 2 through that promotion a while back. Not worth more than $100ish imo. Look at soundcore.

Usual advice, with speakers it's necessary to test them with your own ears. Asking others opinion might lead to disappointment.

    • Officeworks usually have them laid out with all versions and common competitors
