    It's 3.5", so yes you do need external power.

    Asked because I didn't know. From the picture it looks like 3.5", but in the specs, it doesn't talk about the external power adapter to be included in the box.

  Seems an ok price for an "essential" model drive, not sure if I would call it a bargain though ;)
  Its more exp that an elements drive, however looks better. I have 2 of these but in 1.5tb sitting right next to my wdtv and lcd.
