@Yve: Looking at historical releases they launched without leaks. That is what I'm reading anyway… Either way, I'm travelling overseas in July so I'm thinking do I pull the trigger or wait? If it does come out this year with xm5's most likely cost close to $500 imo. Which makes this discounted version a great proposition.

@MKA1881: They leaked XM4s quite a bit before it was released to generate hype and most people were aware of the incoming Bluetooth 5.0 Multi-device pairing headphones that was such a necessary upgrade over the original XM3s even without leaks.
As such I would not understand the potential benefits of an XM5 either

I have these in grey. Pretty nice but after using it for about 2 hours, the top of my head starts to hurt.
Works well for calls on a laptop and cancels enough of the noise especially living in the city directly next to construction.
Only thing I hate is how I got to turn it on and off and keep holding to switch the connection from my laptop to my phone. There’s this weird static noise when you first connect it when someone’s talking but goes away when I switch the sound from headphones audio to laptop audio then back to headphones audio.

Tapping your NFC-equipped Android device is the quickest way to turn on and pair/connect your headphones. The XM4 supports 2 simultaneous connections but I haven't used that feature extensively enough to know how to use it well.

You can ring their 1300 number and ask for price beat. You'll need to give them the url details for them to confirm. Just go on the OW website and look up price beat to get the number. I did this when getting airpods pro for my wife.

I went to OW in the morning, by the time I get there the black model is sold out on binglee but the white model is still in stock. the guy there refused to honor the price match.
Got mine from the bris CBD site. They didn't add postage. Came out to 275. 5 minutes later bing Lee sold out.

I've had these headphones since release and can proudly say they're AMAZING.
Everything you need from Bluetooth headphones, plus more. They sound excellent, have good battery life, and the build quality is very premium too. The noise-cancelling is really good on the XM4s as well.

This is tempting, I still have my PXC550 a from a few years ago for $200 and they still work well, having only replaced the earpads once. The only thing is that the battery life is getting shorter (like I have to charge it once every 2 days) and the headband is starting to fray, though I always just duct-tape that. Should I get this?
Noise cancelling on these are better than the PXC 550's. Regarding comfort, I'd argue that the Sony cans are slightly worse. My ears get sweaty after a while, plus the back of my ears hurt with a face mask on.
I don't remember if the 550 can be connected to 2 devices at once but you get that on the XM4.
The XM4 has a sensor that auto-pauses and auto-resumes playback when you take them off and put them back on.
The XM4 has NFC which makes pairing and connecting to NFC-equipped Android devices a breeze.
And to top it off, it charges via USB C.

I have the PXC550ii for a year with the price error a while back, quite like it. Read some comments here and there saying that the xm4 is not really comfy. I wear headphone ~ 12 hrs a day so comfy is a must…not sure if I should make the jump to XM4

No issues using them at the gym, no issues with them falling out/being loose and the noise cancellation is great for getting in the zone.
Have the xm3s and they don't mix well with sweat. Even though they sound great, I'd avoid.

Has a fair bit of audio issues working with Microsoft Teams. Sound modes switching to stereo randomly and not being audible to people in a meeting.

It seems to depend which store and which person you talk to. Phoned a second store and they accepted the price match and held it in-store and I collected it soon after. So just try another store if applicable.
