With my two accounts lunch sorted 👍

    • Second account used to get deals but not anymore.. it doesnt have a card attached to it i wonder if thats why?

      • +1

You can attach the same card to multiple accounts

        • Yeah i know that. I was just wondering if not having it linked is the reason i wasnt getting deals, even though it didnt use to be an issue.

      • I just add full stops to gmail email to get new accounts. Tbh dont use it alot (couple of times) but had no issues.

Let me guess… the final week will be back to 20% off! Also, the $1 hash brown has been the unofficial deal of the month this February, they are pumping that thing hard!

Is it just me or is the McChicken the worst burger in their range?

    • +6

It's not just you, as quite a few of McDonald's Burgers are bit; attack of the blan. It has to be noted, it's on the dollar menu in the US, so having it on the regular menu does explain the disappointment.

KFC is way better at their chicken Burgers compared to what mcdonald's offers and are usually not as expensive.

      • US McChicken is different

        • -1

          Not by that much;

          • US McChicken
            • 400 cal
            • 21g Fat
            • 39g Carb
            • 14g Protein
          • AUS McChicken
            • 451 cal
            • 22.6g Fat
            • 41.1g Carb
            • 19.6g Protein

The only major difference is Protein, so might have more filler content, but the US McChicken is only about 10-15% smaller and costs as low as $1 USD

      • The chicken deluxe goes alright.. only $1 more and comes with a heaps better chicken patty, jack cheese and tomato. I think different lettuce and bun too?

      • Also, they call it a sandwich in the US. It being all the chicken burgers.

I’d put it above Filet-o-fish burger but yeah not great. I’d go KFC if I wanted a chicken burger

      • +2

        Filetofish is the best!
Seems like u either love or hate it..

    • +3

Its my favourite tbh but it is essentially a big chicken nugget burger.

      • -2

You should try my Big A@$ chicken nugget burger. Get a McChicken plain and then get a BBQ sauce. Yummers. It was a bit better in the US with only being a dollar and them usually giving you free BBQ sauce.

BTW the McChicken has historically been one of the most expensive of the core McDonald's menu. I remember thirty years ago I got to eat for free at McDonald's. Of course I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu which was the McChicken meal.

Oh and KFC is terrible here. Just saying

        • +2

The McChicken is pretty close to HJ's chicken royale yeah? Patty, mayo, lettuce, bun. $3 over there, free chips and drink with a receipt

          • -1

@Rain Cloud: I'd compare the burger quality to be closer to the old tender crisp chicken burger. Which was about the same cost.

Just because it has the same toppings doesn't make it the same burger. Remember that terrible Big Jack. 🤢

            • +1

@Team America: Never had the big jack..was it bad? The last mcchicken I had was pretty close to the chicken and mayo they used to have.. which was like the chicken royale, so i thought they were similar now. That or ive lost my taste buds even though i havent had covid (yet) ha

        • KFC isn't that bad. Just lax franchising standards. Regularly been to "bad stores". You can tell when they use old oil or bad stock. You might go 5-10km to a better area and the KFC improves. Eg Browns plains vs Sunnybank. Lastly, went to a store during a quiet time (Coomera) and they made everything more or less perfect. The same store during a busy night had oil coming out of the boxes and got the order wrong. Probably due to young, inexperienced staff + labour laws here.

    • If it's done right and fresh with crispy outer, then it's really good!

    • +1

I really want to like it. But it's just bland, boring and quite tasteless. Id never pick one in a meal Deal.

    • It's not just you!

For a burger that only has 3 ingredients I can't believe how little lettuce was on mine today. I could literally count the tiny scraps of lettuce remnants on my burger on one hand. More lettuce scraps made it into the box than onto the burger. And half the burger was completely dry as well because there was so little sauce on it. Really a sad pathetic burger, deserves to be relegated to the loose change menu!

  • Can we replace the beef to chicken from Cheeseburger ?

  • +3

Can I down vote this…….. because it's making me fat.

    • +2

She's lucky to have you honestly

    • +1

Does she get the McChicken or Cheeseburger?

      • +1

        Brutal

      • The sides

    • WT…… surely she is going to cook, but I understand that she might not be as good a cook as Ronald.

My Deal is 2 small Quaterpounder meals for $9

    • How do you know? It isn't tomorrow yet

      • i went back to the future

        • Well, your phone did - just set the date to tomorrow. (Your smart phone isn't all that smart!)

          • @shoppe: More the app isn't smart than the phone.

  • Frustratingly, and somewhat defeating the purpose of ordering online (saving time), it seems that you can't submit the order (and consequently they won't start preparing) your mobile order until you're literally at the selected McDonald's.

So that I can have them start preparing my order when I get in my car to travel there (about an 8 min drive), is using a GPS spoofing app the only way around this silly limitation?

    • Yep I do it all the time with GPS spoofing

      • What app do you find the most efficient for this purpose? I'm using Android (not jailbroken).

        • Fake GPS free. You've got to allow developer options and then set the app as your default mock location app
