Any ideas my friends?

Mid 20s, first graduate job as a chiro. Also his birthday.

My hopeless brain storms were - a nice engraved pen (but realised no one uses pens anymore), a pair of R.M. Williams (meh), a nice messenger type bag.

Budget $200-$400. Would love to hear your ideas.
