Dublin to Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne/Sydney ~$2362 Business Class Return on Lufthansa/Swiss Air/Singapore Airlines

630

Return from Dublin to Australia (ADL, BNE, MEL, SYD) from now til 6 Feb 2023.

Cheapest fares are on LX via ZRH or LH via MUC/FRA to SIN, from where an SQ sector is included. On some routes/dates, some slight variations are included (saw HND on ANA, BKK on TG)

Books into P on Lufthansa (watch out; doesn't earn on some *A programmes, like Aegean), P on Swiss, and D on SQ (but only if booked via Swiss! The SQ sectors are issued in P on LH codeshares if booked with LH).
On Lufthansa tickets, they put their P on all sectors, including their own codeshare on SQ. On Swiss tickets, they put P on their own flights, and issue in D on the SQ sectors.

Open jaws are available.

Bookable direct with LH or LX.
On Swiss, paying about €200 more will get you a ticket that can be cancelled for a €250 fee.

  • Wat. Qantas is charging $2k for economy to new Delhi. One way. This seems like a great price!

    • Demand and Supply.

        U mean :

                          Supply.

    Wrong direction for me.

    • +1

Me too - so it doesn't work the other way?

      • Seems i was mistaken

  • $2200 is obviously amazing, but a quick search of Lufthansa Syd<->Dub RTN showed prices as low as $3120 in June. Which is a tremendous fare too, I think, and likely more useful for Oz based travellers.
EDIT: $2918 RTN in May 12/5 - 16/6 so worth doing some digging.

$3120 in June in business? You're dreaming.

    • I believe you are looking at the first journey price.

      • I must have. I did the Dub-SYD search first and it looked right, then I reversed the destinations.

Heaps of return flights for October 2300$ Via Swiss

  • This surely doesn't help anyone here, flights the wrong way.

    • +2

Lots of Irish (and Brits) here with family back home who could take advantage.

    • Maybe they have relatives they want to fly over?

    • +1

May help my parents come visit their grandchildren. They had already booked business with Qatar so are currently looking at this deal as an alternative.

    • +2

Maybe for an Aussie that needs to make two trips? Use that business fare bookended by an economy fare i.e. Econ>Bus>Bus>Econ.

  • Hi what website do I book from only google is showing up thanks.. my parents thinking coming over around april

    • +1

It gives you a few 3rd party sites to book from at various prices. The cheapest one I saw involved ringing Swiss Air. Look at the google booking calendar about 10 posts down in that forum linked in the deal.

  • Great fare but unfortunately looks to have sold out now!

    • +1

Availability is drying out but still available.

      • Any dates in particular you can recommend? All the availability I've found in the last hour or so have all been phantom - cached results that, once you click through, show a much higher fare

  • +1

Must have been fixed. Google shows low price but when you click on it presents a more normal price

    • +1

Yeah- I can't find this price.

  • I'm in Manchester. DUB is a 40 min flight away. Bargain.
