Don't post referrals in comments guys! The random generator makes sure everyone gets an equal share of referrals that's the whole point.

I've found Felix great in the few months I've been with them. They use the Vodafone network though so coverage might be more of an issue compared to the other carriers.

Honestly, I've found Voda coverage and speeds to beat Telstra in metro Sydney, having already paid the premium for Telstra myself. YMMV though, especially outside the cities.

      • That's interesting, I can only speak from personal experience and here in Perth it's very patchy especially outside of the metropolitan area.

  • What kind of speeds do you get consistently? They aren’t throttled or anything?

    • They do throttle data: speeds up to 20Mbps, but it is unlimited.

Should be sufficient for phone usage or 1 stream at a time.

Depends on where you are, and not just on signal strength but also congestion. At my place I get reasonably good signal from Vodafone (3 bars cf 1 for Optus e.g.), but download speed fluctuates between <1 to ~18, mostly around 3-4, during the day. This is probably due to some heavy users using up the available bandwidths in the area.

To know for sure, get the cheapest Voda starter kit (not the $2 ones, as you need some credit to test the throughout) to test it out.

  • how hard is it to cancel the service? do you have to go through hoops or is it just a click and cancel thing on their website?

Just tried, even after entering a referral code it says I have to pay $35 today…

    • Yes you'll have to pay the first month up front but the second month will be free.

  • Do you have to transfer from another service to be eligible?

    • I don't believe so.
