Hi everyone, was browsing around for Amiibos and ran into this small discount on the double pack that is seemingly sold out everywhere.

This price is also available at Kogan and Dick Smith.

To add my personal opinion I think this is probably one of the last first party listings you'll find for these amiibo, by next month I feel you will have to go second hand or get very lucky at a local store to get these two. But that's just my speculation.

I'd avoid Kogan like the plague.

they just throw your amiibos in a loose satchel bag (this is from experience).

Big W pack it nicely in a box

      in a loose satchel bag

Amazon have done this for me as well for amiibo

mine amiibo were also sent in a satchel bag too.

    • Kogan took about 6 weeks to send mine and it came in a satchel completely trashed.
      Never again Kogan.

Kinda looks like you are though

Looks like OOS? No option to add to cart in VIC at least.

Guess those statues from collectors edition don’t cost much at all.

  • So from the product feature, it is like a physical DLC that give you some boost on the gameplay? like extra health once per day or something?

    • +4

Pretty much yeah, but it's better to look at it as a collectible figure of a character you like.

    • One permanent health 100 points
You start with maybe 300 health and max health is like.. 1300?
The health is nice because the game is a stinge in that you cop massive damage from tiny touches, and even bumping into an enemy you get hurt and they don't. Then again, it only equates to taking two more hits.

Permanent 10 missile capacity. Useless. They are everywhere and even if you try to run out you can't.

The daily health top ups are pretty much useless too. If youre not beating a boss it won't get you over the hump. And health is already manageable outside of boss fights.

The daily missile top up is useless.

TLDR: don't buy it for the in game use. It's weak sauce. I did and i regret it. At least now I'll be able to sell it.

It's just NFC. You can download and "load" up NFC dongle and get it without figurine.

About the only time the 1 extra tank of health and 10 extra missiles (that you permanently get from these Amiibo) will help is when you're just starting the game.

By the time you're about 1/4 through the game, you'd easily have more missiles than you can ever use up (as you get back about as much missiles as you'd use) when you're doing good.

When you're doing poorly, enemies will easily wipe out multiple tanks of health in seconds, and the number of missiles you have remaining is the least of your worries.
