        • +9

Click on where it shows $6.99 of 10 payments and it should take you to the next page where it will show discount.

Does this impact on Credit score?

    • +2

Yes I've done a credit check and latitude pay hit it, really bit with it for a slab of beer

    • +1

I have never been denied for a credit card despite churning 2-3 per year and I can't get latitude pay, so there's something up with it.

  • Thanks Op, purchased..

Once again, referred "family member" to Ozsale & ordered through their new Ozsale account for future $20 referral credit on my account.

    Bought yesterday👍
Regularly buy Asahi Super Dry through Ozsale, when these good discounts pop up. Last purchased through Klarna Deal

Do you really want your alcohol purchases monitored by these financial intermediaries?

At the very least, you run the risk of upsetting the credit reference agencies for using sketchy BNPL arrangements and then allowing your purchasing history being hoovered up by a bank deciding whether to grant you credit. (Klarna = Commonwealth Bank for example).

      but booze!!!

    • +1

Lol. This is not a booze promotion, but $20 off any purchase of $60 or more using LatitudePay

It's up to people to choose what they buy. I chose booze for 2nd time in a year! Doubt that would upset your hypothetical "monitoring"!!

Hope they don't look at my CC Booze history🍺😂

      • My comments were restricted to purchasing alcohol on BNPL schemes.

        LOL
        LOL
        etc

        • LOL!! Seems you don't understand!

Do you really want your alcohol purchases monitored by these financial intermediaries?

          How would they know??
Having bought this Deal previously through LP, It appears just as a $49.99 purchase at sale site Ozsale.
(And all my BNPL purchases are paid off early.)

What credit agency would investigate every purchase at this site to see if it was for alcohol etc??

And buying this case of imported beer would not be valid grounds for reduction in credit rating.

Can't imagine privacy law would condone the intrusion of privacy you imagine!!

That's why I contrasted this purchase with BNPL through this market place (which doesn't identify CUB as supplier), with CC purchases from liquor outlets. Those are clearly identified as from liquor outlets, so likely to be alcohol!

So my buying habits are better shown from my CC purchases, than through BNPL! And my bank has already got those details.

Buying a carton of alcohol proves nothing, it may not be drunk by the purchaser.

Don't understand your (lack of) reasoning!!
You give no evidence that ratings agencies will examine every purchase like these (but not those done with CC)!

          Sounds more like scaremongering.

  • noob question but are these the ones brewed in Japan or Oz?

    • +1

500mL cans have always been brewed in Japan so far.

      • someone churned the rumour mill in the previous post that since asahi's acquisition of CUB, new stock of 500ml cans have been brewed in australia (cases seen at bws). crossing fingers this batch isn't the case.

        • Recently purchased & delivered from CUB. Printed on bottom of carton - brewed in Japan.

Cartons on shelf of store (ages ago) would be older than one delivered. Suggesting comment was incorrect.

There was no proof given to support that rumour by 1 person! Likely they were looking at locally produced Asahi bottles.

        • With the box redesign I wouldn't be surprised if it's coming, be much cheaper than importing so I think it's a matter of time. Stupid move though if you ask me, i won't buy them once they do

These bad boys are brewed in Japan - you can really tell the difference aswell. I find the Aus brewed ones kinda taste like water, whilst the Japan ones are actually tasty.

Seems to be showing up as $72.99 on the site now.

  • Thanks OP I’ve been waiting to go black again!

$51 at Liquorland after cashback https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/683541

  • Happy to report that these are indeed the Japanese brewed cans (but not fully grey imported like some independents have - obvious as it's sold directly by CUB).
Very quick with the delivery as well! Ordered yesterday morning and arrived to my office in the Sydney CBD just now.
