  • Can you have the LEDs off?

    • LEDs indicate power. Main round button turns on/off all points and usb and when on, lights the circle around button. Each point and usb has a tiny led to indicate each points power. All LEDs are red, so not offensive.
Integrates easily with Home Assistant and each point has separate power on/off and the 4 usbs are a group on/off.

Edit. I have the zigbee not wifi.

      • So I take that as a no the LEDs can’t turn off?

        • I use this on those pesky LEDs

  • looks like the apps no longer support iphone….

    • Uses Tuya chip so can still use the Tuya app.

  • Just missed the lighting sale @ $30.12 by a couple of days.

Sounds like a doggy 3rd party seller to me.

      Woof?

      • P.dutty will be dog whistling about it soon, probably claim the maoist labor party endorses them.

    • I initially thought it was a typo by the OP until you pointed it out.

No way I am buying a product from a seller who is deliberately trying to mimic the word Amazon to trick people into buying from them. If they are doing it with their seller's name I wonder what else is dodgy about the product (I suspect Australian electrical certification for starters)

  • 2.4GHz only

    No, thanks.

What smart device ecosystem are you in that supports 5ghz?

      • +2

        The fantasy one.

      • Some, but not many. The problem is my WIFI router doesn’t let me manually enforce 5GHz connections. I have to setup an older router just to connect a pet feeder.

        • Are you saying your pet feeder supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz but chooses 2.4GHz?
          I really hope not …

          • @String name: Sorry for my poor English (it’s my second language). I mean my pet feeder only supports 2.4GHz but my primary router cannot be configured to use 2.4GHz manually. I have to setup a second router and change my mobile phone wifi settings to 2.4GHz every time I need to connect to the pet feeder. That’s really annoying.

              @onon0402:

my primary router cannot be configured to use 2.4GHz manually.

Turn off band steering also what's your router? You can.usually split the SSID's (wifi names) to have seperate ones for 2.4 & 5ghz

            • @onon0402: That does sound annoying :(

You will need the 5Ghz for smart devices like TV.
But you don't need the 5Ghz for smart devices like plug or strip or lights. Because these devices don't need that speed, but 5Ghz range is limited than 2.4Ghz, in another word, with 2.4Ghz, your devices can be placed further from the Wifi modem.

Also in the modem, you will have 2 bands 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, but each one should limit the number of devices to maximise the performance, you should save these slots for your laptop, mobile phones, TVs…

  • What's the power on the USBs? Is it shared?

    • "USB Total Power: 12W / 5V 2.1A"
