    Just an FYI, it's a very weak laptop, the very bottom of the barrel for the 30XX laptop series from 2020\2021.

    IMO , A waste of money.
    Better options out there, and if not currently , than soon enough.

    I purchased my G15 Advantage Edition (G513QY) for $1,700AUD , and had $400 returned as price matching from Bestbuy in America AFTER the purchase.
    While I understand some may rather not order from abroad, completely reasonable, I will still strongly advise you to steer away from this laptop if you have any intent to use it for serious gaming with decent quality performance. (Especially refurbished… 💀)

    • how do you order from Bestbuy? I have considered this in the past but found it difficult…

        I used MYUS.com :)
        They're great.

        However COVID Makes it a bit more expensive with alot less shipping options than normal.

        Some big stores will block "parcel forwarding" addresses by Companies like MYUS , it just so happens that at the time of the purchase, MYUS released a new address for a new warehouse, which was still not BlackListed by Bestbuy, not sure of it currently, as it was 11 months ago.

        edit; However, I will go ahead and say there are alot of competent stores in the US that'll ship things anywhere, doesn't have to be big chains, and often their prices are very competitive.
        Before making my purchase, I used to track this spreadsheet by a youtuber who did a solid, 10/10 job on tracking prices for a TON of laptop variations:

        https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K2dYjcRePS7qMnfPAYkV…

        Many of the smaller stores will ship to any address in the US, allowing you to ship to AUS.
        I would very much recommend you triple check the tech specs of the devices and their chargers to make sure it'll be useable in Australia, or in order to arrange alternative solutions for them TO be used.

        Amazon.com also ships to forwarding companies no problems at all.

        edit;
        also also, you can "override" an address block by intentionally misspelling an address :P but its a risk you take incase the postie isn't as clever as you may assume them to be.

      It has a 115w 3060 and a MUX switch, why exactly is it a 'bottom of the barrel' 30XX laptop?

      • Actually, couldn't find anywhere it has a MUX switch? leaving it stuck with its optimus nonsense.

        Regardless, I am not judging the chipset, sure, high wattage pumps alot of performance out like a champ.

        But Gigabyte has lousy build quality, loud fans, shitty battery life and repeated reports of failing bad monitors.
        If you plan on using it as a desktop, sure, a good price.

        But for a laptop? I believe there's better value out there. There's a reason Gigabyte are constantly the cheapest.

        If you're looking for a budget unit, i'd look at OMEN or Lenovo.

        edit;
        not to mention the cpu's a bit yucky :) but that's budget for ya.

          Not really looking for anything, was just wondering why you would say this is bottom of the barrel when there are 65w 30XX variants out there - looking at the MUX, the 15P KC (which is one is) doesn't appear to have one but the 15P XC and all 15G models do, that does make this model less appealing.

          There are definitely some cheap gigabyte models out there, but this is the first time i've seen someone refer to their AORUS range as cheap? You can pick up brand new 30XX laptops for the price of this and it's second hand.

            @lulzenberg: While prices may vary, I always considered Gigabyte to be the cheapest, lowest quality of a "big name" out there.

              @The Milk Man: Fair enough.

              The MUX is odd though. Looking into it further, the 15P KC's with 10th gen do apparently have one according to owners on reddit, and the 11th gen don't - but looking at the list of models, there is no 11th gen 15P KC only 15P KD.. so i'm entirely lost on that.

          I owned gigabyte Aero with 3070 MaxQ and will avoid Gigabyte laptop. I agree, gigabyte laptop specifically on Aero. It wasn't the cheapest at the time, but they don't even offer after sales service and support back in Indonesia. After 2 years of light duty usage, the battery bloated and had to source them from China as none available locally.

          Not sure if I can recommend gigabyte laptop but will stay away from them for a while.

        The previous OP saying it’s a bottom of a barrel laptop is a bit too harsh but this is a hard sell:

        1. It’s 115w with 100w +15w DB, not full powered unlike what gigabyte loves to falsely claim

        2. Yes it have mux, but it’s also a 10th gen which is a bit of a far cry from 11th gen or 5000 series

        • aye, thanks for that, been a while since I cared to understand intel cpus.

  • Double check technical reviews but I'm pretty sure the 240Hz panel on this is a poor performer, with slow response times overall.
