Beko 7kg Vented Tumble Dryer BDV70WG - $408 & Free Delivery (Most Areas) @ Appliances Online

100

Just saw this deal on appliancesonline.com.au. Cheaper than JBHIFI which is 499 + shipping. Also all sold out there.
I ordered one for myself today and next day free delivery for me ( Bankstown location).

I think with 5 years warranty from Beko, it's a good deal.

Thanks,

Update : Received it today in the Morning 8:30AM. I live in 3rd floor. They brought it and set it up for me. Very happy with their service.
Not sure what the negative about not heating properly. I used mix option for 10 min and it was well done. Hope it stays next 5 years atleast !

I am using Beko washer and refrigerator last 4+ years and had no issues. So taking chances with same brand which is not an unknown brand. I like the idea 5 years Manufacturing warranty when you register online. it depends on your preference.

Yeah the 5 year warranty will eliminate most concerns with quality issues I think, still you really want a heat pump model these days I reckon.

        • Warranty doesn't cover performance. Lots of reviews saying it simply doesnt dry clothes :/

Crap. Don’t be fooled and don’t fire your money on shitty stinky Turkish shit
We have dishwasher and worst you can imagine. Noisy, smelly, almost destroyed all dishes
Spend double or triple on Germans and sleep tight for years

      • thanks for the heads up. I have checked all the current Beko products line are made in Turkey. Don't think this is the case for all their product of bad performance. I will write a review after using for a while.

I really like my Beko 6kg Front Loader. I've been using it for two years and have never had an issue. There are plugs in the back that need to come out after moving it and I reckon some bad review come from people not removing those and wrecking their machine.

It's not the same as your dishwasher experience but I haven't had a problem.

Wouldn't you just spend the extra $180 and get a heat pump dryer?

Spend $408 less and use the power of the 🌞

    • I was thinking exactly the same thing. Only reason not to is if you need stuff dried quickly I think more than you need cheaper power bills.

Heat pump takes long long time to dry, mostly buying this to use removing cloth lint. My plan is to dry my cloth outside like always but just 75% and rest I will dry in the dryer so no dust and lint on the cloths. I know others have different ideas but that's just mine :)

      • I can't comment on modern vent dryers but I found it to be about the same, maybe longer on wet towels.

      Tumble dryer:

      • Weight - heat pump dryers need to be on the floor or lower shelf, unless you have a really solid cabinet - ours is mounted above the washing machine
      • Low usage - many of us don't use a dryer that often, and when we do we want clothes dried quickly
      • School uniforms - a quick 5 minutes in the tumble dryer, hang uniforms and no ironing (add your CT non-iron shirts to this list :) )

Nah, heat pump can sit on top of the front loader fine, plenty people do that.

  • I think this comsump around 310kwh per year if you use it once a week, compare to around 139kwh beko heat pump dryer ( similar to others heat pump dryer). If you going to use this 3 times a week, this will cost 513kwh more a year. With the minimum 5 years usage (5 years warranty if you register within 90 days), this will cost att least 2565kwh more energy. Depend your usage and other such as home solar panel, the real cost of the dryers may vary in 5 years.
Heat pump dryers doesn't humid your laundry and no lint in your laundry compare to vented dryer. Heat pump dryer take around 30mins more per cycle (1hr 30 mn per cycle using extra dry on my beko heat pump dryer), but heat pump dryer is more gentle to clothes and the clothes come out more fluffy. (had a vented dryer before)

I'd never buy another Beko product again, Our washing machine which is 3 years old has has rust coming through down the bottom on the front and left sides, and also under the detergent/powder tray. Called them and their after sales is disgraceful basically saying we have over filled the machine which then caused the machine to leak which is absolute garbage.
