Looks like its from all of the idiots who returned these because of a vrr issue only to replace with an x90j that has a recycled glossy plastic frame that looks like scratched up junk after only a few months of service.

    • Why is anything touching the frame of your tv?

      • -1

You never move or plug in anything near your tv? Scratching is so out of norm?

        • +1

yes, way out of norm i'd say.

Excellent TV but $3k for a refurbished 85 inch 2020 model is not a bargain.

Paid 2999 for the 85" x9000h new at Costco

    • Nice one. When was that?

I expect less money for the 2 years old TV, especially refurbished TV

Had terrible experience with Sony eBay team after I purchased refurbished TV late last year. They sent me a faulty unit instead (the actual box had label - “Faulty” and shattered screen), and took me nearly 2 months and number of follow ups to get refund. 😒

I got a brand new one even from ebay said that Refurbished - damaged box. And quite happy with it …… so it seems depend on lucky or not

    • I had I new Samsung TV delivered from HN iirc, with a cracked screen. Still took a month for them to deliver as new one. They can be managed in transit

I bought a tcl 65 inch from ebay, won't say which seller (major retailer). When I was unpacking it I lifted it the wrong way and bent it in the middle. The tv looked like a curved screen after that. Hahaha.
I made a curved screen 65 inch tv. That glass didn't break too. It returned it and said it was faulty. EBay even paid for the return shipping which was awesome. Its funny now but at the time wasn't. Lol

    • Yep, way too many horror stories with Sony returns/seconds/etc.. It's like pulling teeth if there's something wrong with your Sony product.
