  • Does that say 2 months warranty?

  • im sure true ozbargainers will just build one themselves…just put a pulley system and a seat on wheels and woolah.

  • Anyone has experience with this model compared to WaterRower or Concept 2?

    • Concept2 is an air rower and probably best in class, but close to 2k

I've got the Concept 2. It was $1745.50 delivered to Melbourne including the rubber mat. Direct from them was cheapest I could find.

Before this I had a cheap ebay magnetic rower (was around $250) that I literally rowed till it broke. Lasted 3 years or something? I used to row years ago in high school so I knew I didn't mind this type of exercise but was being a tight ass originally buying a machine for home.

In my opinion if you can afford it, don't cheap out like me and just buy a Concept 2 if you are sure you like rowing. They are built like a tank and I reckon will last for the rest of my life till I can't row anymore lol. Very happy with mine and not as much maintenance as a water rower.

There is a reason you see Concept 2 at a lot of gyms/rowing clubs/schools etc. They are one of the best.

Oh and I personally don't think the extra money for the higher legs is worth paying for. Short seems fine, only consider the higher legs if you are old and struggle to squat/bend down……

    • This model is a bit unheard of for me. Ive got a very old (almost 15yrs) concept 2 thats been through 2 schools before it got into my hands. A bit of maintenance and parts got it running perfectly again.

I checked the manufacturers website and their HQ address is the same as WaterRower, leads me to think this is the 'budget' model of their flagship brand.

Based upon that, I would hope for high quality QA but as its budget, I would assume its designs were shipped off to a plant in asia to be created and dropshipped back out so YMMV.

Truthfully, find a used concept 2 on gumtree - they range from 300+ and you may need to spend up to another $200 in parts (its a very basic machine, lego w screws) and youll be right to go!

Edit: also the screen on this looks poorly positioned with poor buttons. You should be facing forward, upright and be able to quickly tap a button on the dash if it needs changing, not hunching over to your toes

      • Gumtree has a few listed for $1500-1800, buying new directly from Concept 2 is only $1600 shipped (Sydney).

  • Coupon doesn't work for me.
    $798 + $95 delivery.

Harvey Norman is a terrible company. They accepted millions of dollars from the Australian Government (funded by us) to help keep them afloat during COVID. The same year they had record profits and refused to give the money back.

    Don't buy from Harvey.
