Lenovo Preferred Pro II USB Wired Keyboard $9.98 Delivered @ BNEACTRADER eBay

480

Howdy

Clearing out a bunch of these units. The last time we did these on the Dell Keyboards, we had a large number of multibuys so I've put volume pricing discounts on the stock as well.

  • Can't go wrong for keyboards under $10 I'm guessing, thanks OP

Edit: trying to understand the mention of LEDs in description, don't think this is a backlit keyboard?

    • +6

Three operation mode LEDs located on right upper corner will be activated individually

Most likely: caps lock, num lock, scroll lock

  • +3

FYI all, this is NOT a model M

I wish I knew the difference lolz would you like to enlighten me 🤣

Model M were a famous keyboard manufactured by IBM and others mid-80s to mid-90s. They featured springs which buckled when a key was pressed, making an apparently pleasant sound and provided tactile feedback letting you know the key press was registered. Due to cost the market for them dried up as OEMs and keyboard manufacturers moved to the cheaper rubber dome membranes. There is still a cult following and the tooling has been sold-on, and new Model Ms are still being produced to this day - there's also a thriving used market with the keyboard often selling for at least $100.

The older ones lack modern features like a Windows Key.

IBM sold their consumer division to Lenovo in 2005, long after IBM stopped manufacturing them so there's no chance any Lenovo keyboard would ever be a Model M, especially one on clearance for $10 on eBay.

Mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX, etc. are a popular modern alternative with varying switch profiles and features (some switches can bump, others bottom out, some are noisy and some are not).

        • That keyboard is the one you spank on it day and night for 10 years still look and feel as new, nearly unbreakable. Downside is the annoying spring shape cable and giant socket.

    • Thanks for the heads up.

  • Great deal. I must keep an eye on your EBAY store.

Seem to have had a $5 voucher, so down to $4.98 for me:-) Thanks, OP.

Nice! I wasn't sure if I want another keyboard for $10 but your comment made me look again and realised that I could get it for $5!
      There's always a need for a $5 keyboard somewhere!

i was going to join a group buy for a keyboard, but this is cheaper and i can get it before the end of the year.

  • Would these be brand new or used? Do they come in retail packaging? Brand new sealed or used broken seal?

    • Brand new in sealed box.

  • Could not have come at a better time - and got it for $4.98 delivered!

  • Cheers, got it for $5, yay

  • Ordered one yesterday and got it today. Pretty good keyboard for the price.
