Worth noting that these can be 'upgraded' to the Long Expiry plans during activation (you would just pay the difference between SIM value and Long Expiry plan cost) - so you can buy the $40 SIM for $20, then during activation pay an additional $25 to activate to the $65 Long Expiry plan - so $45 for the $65 plan :)

Do you get to keep the 10% off one grocery shop?

    • How long can I keep number/service for without recharge?

      • +2

6 months after it expires you'll get an email to let you know they are making the SIM inactive unless it's changed recently.

        After your recharge expires:

First 90 days - you can receive calls and texts, but cannot send them
Next 90 days - you cannot make or receive calls or texts (mod: edited 24-Feb-2022)
After the total 180 days, the service is terminated

        • Was wondering if there are more economical method (than putting in a $20 recharge) to port the number to another telco during the 2nd 90 days (when one cannot receive SMS)?

@hubs1982: Aldi mobile, $5 starter pack for 365 days

            • @sydracing: Thanks mate, would you happen to know if Aldi mobile requires SMS authentication for the number to be ported to them?

              • @hubs1982: For telstra retail or wholesale network, Aldi mobile is part of telstra network, I think they send a link or a code via sms to verify numbers. Only Vodafone network requires send back code to their server. So i don’t think that porting numbers to telstra network providers requires a fully active SIM service. Even your prepaid number expired but still can receive SMS, that can be ported to telstra. I may be wrong, there maybe something changed. The last time I ported number to telstra network was 1.5 year ago.

                • @sydracing: Thanks very much mate. I am currently within the 2nd 90 day meaning I can't even receive SMS so by the looks of it it's going to be a $20 recharge.
                  Thanks again!

        • Next 90 days - you cannot make or receive calls, but you can still apply a recharge to reactivate the service

Can you receive texts during the last 90 days ??

          • @USER DC: Thank you @USER DC for pointing that out, no you cannot receive texts in the last 90 days. I've reported my comment requesting the mods edit it to reflect that

            • @dm02: Hmm, so that really is only like number active for 90 days not 180 days, anyway thanks

              • @USER DC: I guess you can consider it this way:
the number is active for 180 days since you can recharge it that entire time
the service is active for 90 days since you can still receive calls/texts that entire time

    • i might just do that.

do you know how long this promo will go? and when do we need to activate the service by?

      • Yeah I'd like to know this too

Edit: the ww link says offer ends 1/3. But doesn't say how long we have to activate the service.

        • Just saw that if you don't activate the service within 30 days, you won't get the cashrewards or shopback

  • Anyone know if these have Wifi Calling enabled?

    • No wifi calling. At least I don't see it on iPhone 8

    • Boost is the only MVNO to do that.
But of course there are many other VoIP ways to call over wifi: SIP, Skype, Signal, Facetime, …

  • if bought online you can get CashRewards or ShopBack as well

    which one?

  • ordered one, thanks op.

  • Thanks, ordered one as a temporary solution since the nbn is a joke in my area.

  • Is it possible to link my Mum’s Everyday rewards card to my woolworths mobile account? I’m not always shopping at woolworths.

    • it is possible. i have 2 numbers linked to 2 different EDR accounts.

      • That’s great

  • I found out Woolworths had the Amaysim (55gb) prepaid plan for $10 (from usual $30) so I bought that instead

  • +1

How long is the expiry on these? Do they need to be activated by a certain date? Thanks

  • Does Esim work on prepaid plans?

  • Does anyone have experience on if this take forever to get delivered? Tossing up whether to get it delivered or buy in store.

  • If you activate once on a 30 day plan, will you still get the gift card after 90 days. I assume as long as the number is still active, but the account has not credit, so incoming calls only, then you still qualify??
