AFTERPAY10

I found this deal when I was searching for Car rim paints(Plasti dip) and looks like worth sharing. At Supercheap Auto one 311g can sells for $32.99. Not so super cheap though. This deal offers 450ml cans weighing around 400g. According to their e-bay description 3 cans will be enough to paint four 14"-16" rims.
Use AFTERPAY10 for $10 off.
Note that this link goes to Gloss black paint. Not matt black. Without afterpay code it will cost you $31.96 which is still a good deal.

  • Do you think this stuff will work to fix my peeling out window trim?
The rubber on the window trim of my Hyundai 130 is peeling off like a bad skin disease.

      I'm 95% certain that it won't.

This is essentially like a paint layer that is really thick.

I’m 5% certain that it will.

I think if you sanded off the original coating and recoated with this it would last quite well. I coated the chrome on my mini with real Plastidip and it looked great for years until I sold it.

      • That's what I was thinking. Sand it down to bare metal, mask it off and spray it.

          Yeah I reckon it'll work

I’ve done this. I used a plastic razor and scraped off the cracked black rubber trim which revealed the plastic underneath.

Then taped off the surrounding window and paintwork.

I used genuine plastidip and it came up great. You wouldn’t even notice it and the finish was nice and smooth.

  • Code does not work, looks like i have used it already :p

    • People who haven't used their Afterpay code at least 6 months ago should have their OzBargain licenses revoked

    • Legend has it you can set up a new eBay account and use your existing Afterpay to avail another $10 discount.

  • Does one have to sand this down to remove it too or can you pull most of it off easy enough?

if you've applied it thick enough over several thin layers, it peels off easily (and quite satisfyingly too)

This is NOT Plastidip. Please remove it from the title OP.
