  • Good deal, thanks OP.

    • -2

      Which one is good?

      • +3

        USB-C dongle for $10

        • -2

          Can it be daisy chained?

  • +6

The 65W GaN charger with 100W C-C cable is also $34
    https://www.amazon.com.au/HEYMIX-Charger-Adapter-Compatible-…

    • Doesn't come with this Hub? 🤣

    • Awesome, thanks! Got this along with the USB hub. I can ditch my bulky Apple charger when I'm in a bind (65W is enough if no heavy power draw)

    • +7

White one seems to come down to $25 after coupon. Not sure if they are different https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09Q8TJHZV/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt…

Just bought this charger and the hub for WFH setup.

    • I notice it says

      "Type-C+ USB total output: 45W+20W[65W]"

So does that mean only 45W if using USB-C to charge?

      • I think it drops to 45W if both ports are fully utilised.

  • Got one - I hope this works on the new iPad Pro 2021!

    • +2

Should do, I have a BlitzWolf one which works fine.

  • Good for Google Chromecast for TV?

    • +1

I bought one for this reason. It has the charge port so I'd imagine it works. If not, I'll just return it

      • +3

It's a shame that it doesn't have an ethernet port.

    • Wait, how does it work with Chromecast?

      • +2

You can connect a compatible USB C hub to a Chromecast with Google TV in order to add additional ports and functionality. Very useful feature.

        • Ooooooo, I get it now!

I was used to using an old Vodafone box that already had the USB. But I can see how how handy this is for the newer casters that have the inline adapter thingos and no USB's or anything extra.

I just grabbed one to add USB functionality to one of my casters. Thank you!

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: The Vodafone box was awesome! I wish they still supported it and pushed more updates.

            • @batrarobin: Me too! It handled most things really well.

Until it slowly failed and I hacked it to pieces.

Still have its bits around somewhere.. 😅

              • +1

@[Deactivated]: I have 2 and both still work fine. Just have to clean out the App cache once in a while to prevent memory becoming full, which slows it down a lot.

  • +1

Shame it only has 30hz @ 4K but can't go wrong at this price👍should I buy it is my question so to increase my collection of stuff that's pileing up and gathering dust lol

    • +1

      I vote yes.
It's not my money, or my space, or my dust. :)

      • If it was 60hz we wouldn't be having this conversation, dust or not lolz

        • So 60hz gathers high quality dust ?

  • work for imac 5k?

  • Can it do 60hz at 1080p?

If you have an ultra wide, how does that translate to the refresh rate?

    • I have a similar HDMI adapter from this brand, using it to connect my Lenovo Yoga 910 to Xiaomi ultra wide 3440×1440 monitor.
The refresh rate is 50Hz, but it may be due to the old HDMI cable. (version 1.4 I think)

  • Cheers op

  • Anyone know if it works with Microsoft surfaces?

  • +1

Coupon for adaptor is now gone

  • +1

Is the 50% off promo not showing for anybody else?

  • +1

    Damn it.

  • shows 19.99 now for hub

  • I have these, I do recomend them for the price but they are not to the spec advertised, with a second USB charging they do not go to 15w each as advertised, I have measured that they reduce down to 7w.

  • Do you get any coil whining sounds from these chargers?

    • +1

I got wife whining when i bought mine.

      • +1

        That’s a given

  • They coupon for the hub has been reduced to 20% off.

  • The 3 pack charger is showing as $42.99. Did i miss something?

    • yep. you missed out. "50% off coupon box" gone.

  • 50% off for charger no longer works should probably update post OP

  • Think this will output video from my Samsung S20 FE?

    • Should output as outputs from a USB-C cable

  • I find these to get a bit hot for my liking. I have the black version.

  • I've just received the $10 hub ($20 normally) and I was about to praise how

    • it stays cold as opposed to all those slightly more expensive N-in-1 USB-C hubs that I've tried - as they all get uncomfortably hot a minute after you plug them in even without anything else plugged into them,

    but then I realised that:

    • the USB-C port is for PD only, ie. no data transfer - a lesson learnt what the "marketing team" means by advertising it as USB-C (PD) - should state PD only to me,
    • the USB-A port feels relatively slow - took 20-30 seconds to copy 500 MB from my T7,
    • I haven't tried the HDMI.

All in all not bad for $10 so far, but I expected more.

  • Got the USB-C hub. Never did PD on multiple units. Returned :(

    • Hi Limbot, which hub and what do you mean by?:

Never did PD on multiple units.

      • Hey sorry, bought the one on this deal https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09PZ6JJHY

I tested on multiple USB-C notebooks and it wouldn't supply PD to any of them..

        • That's the one I got.

Mine supplies power (and only power) to my MBP with no issues. See my previous comment.

          • @pizzaguy: I have to rectify my previous comments - the hub changes my 96W power supply to mere 55W that my laptop now receives, while nothing else is connected, so I call the product an utter BS.
