I found refurb Acer Iconia on dealfox for 250. Description doesn't specify which model, but from image it looks like A500. As we know dealfox has free shipping items over $10.

my concern is that it is refurbished. Are refurbished buys normally good or more a lucky dip? Are they returned faultys? Are they damaged goods then refurbished to make them resellable. Price seems good, but don't like what could be used items. I could of course be totally off.
I think they are customer returns that got fixed up. Too risky for me.
My personal view over refurbished product is;
Manufacturer checked its condition up to their product standard,
so I think its a good buy.Of course it must come with their warrantee.
Bought an Iconia A500 from DealFox 7 months ago and never had any issue. However it could just be a "lucky dip" as you have said.
I had a A500 & an A501 (damn you ozbargain! :P ) and they both had the same issue; the sound would stop playing when the screen went blank (sleep), what a pain in the pooper. I don't want to have to leave the screen on while its in my bag and headphones are plugged in. It was really annoying as it wouldn't do it all the time and it wouldn't stop immediately, it would wait 'til the end of the song.
Also, only while in shuffle mode. Solved it by buying a different music player and even then some of the others had issues too :(
On a side note; Acer's support system leaves a lot to be diesired, unless you nag them every couple of days they will assume your problem has been solved and close the request.
