  • For purchases of products that may be delivered after the offer end date, you must ensure that $750 or more has been charged to your Card by 29/05/2022 to be eligible for the offer.

Be careful as most of their inventory is ordered on demand from their suppliers overseas and typically take months to arrive.

    • +2

You have the ability to pay in full up front at time of ordering.

      • -5

Yeah nah im not paying thousands upfront for something that takes anywhere from 3-6 months to arrive.

        • Literally standard practice in most places, but you do you.

        • There is usually a deposit (about 30%) when you place an order .

I'd rather shop anywhere else than Nick Scali to save $150.

    • +2

Yep.. I also bought something from them once… never again

        Do tell

they will give you the hard sell … ie sale ends tomorrow, when they have sales every other weekend.

quality wasnt that great, and wait time of at least a month while its made in some sweat shop in malaysia.

          • @hippyhippy: Thanks. Hate those pressure sales. Sad about the quality too.
Will keep browsing, fantastic furniture seems like it may be cheap but the customer service looks okay, might try there.

            • +1

@Edamamme: You really aren't going to get any decent quality furniture for the cheap anywhere in Australia… it's just how it is I guess…

          • @hippyhippy: Not just long wait times. They’ll tell you it’s arriving in one month but keep kicking out the date and communicate it poorly

    • My experience has been the opposite. Maybe I've been lucky with a few of my purchases. Once I had my mind set on a sofa from King furniture which I was going to 100% purchase it but the salesperson was so obnoxious and instead of answering a couple of very simple questions, he went off on a tangent and started giving me unsolicited interior decorating advice so I just walked out. Walked into NS not intending to find anything but the salesperson was so helpful and accommodating that I ended up buying a sofa which has been going strong for several years. Admittedly the King sofa looked nicer and better quality (and twice the $$) but I value my overall purchase experience.

      • Agree. I have a couple of items which I've found to be good quality and reasonable prices on sale

HOW is a furniture company publically listed. haha

  • Btw, what happened to Shop Small offer of Amex? I reckon we haven't seen that for two years in a row now.

    • You've had Shop Small additional points for about a year now, think it was an additional bonus point for every $ or something.

      • Yes, but it wouldn't amount to anywhere close to 50% off ($10 cashback on $20 spend, max 10 transactions per card, later changed to 5).

      • Three additional bonus points per dollar. e.g. instead of 750 points for your $750 purchase, you get 3000 points. Ends at the end of this month.

        • Yes that's the one

    • They offer bonus points now, I think it’s due to end soon?

  • I ordered a sofa from them in Dec. Apparently they didn't even accept Amex back then.

I still need to order a few more items. Does this apply to just one transaction or can I have multiple 750+ transactions and claim 150 on each?

    • +1

      One per card:

      Offer terms:
Offer is limited to one credit per Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the Offer.

    • Apparently they didn't even accept Amex back then.

Sometimes these offers are to bring awareness that they now accept Amex

  • Pay your staff Nick!

There is a surcharge for using credit cards at nick scali…

  • Can we split payments when paying the balance?

  • Any recommendations for some furniture shops selling decent mid priced couches?

    • What is mid priced to you?

      • Around 2-3000

        • Then Nick Scali is about right. Also plush.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a couch on order from them. I wonder if I can pay the remainder via AMEX with this deal.

    • Same situation. My wife and I both have the deal on separate AMEX cards. Planning to pay instalments with AMEX over the phone > $750. Can't see why it wouldn't work.

      • did you end up paying off the rest over the phone with amex cards?

        • We paid in store in the end

  • Bought some furniture this morning at Harvey Norman Alexandria. They were happy to split my purchase over 8 amex cards @$750 each (Total purchase $6000 and $1200 back). Keep in mind they charge 1% for Amex payments.
FYI they take 30% deposit on purchases and balance due before delivery. In terms of paying the balance according to my salesman you need to go back in store to pay via credit card otherwise you can pay via BPay.

    • I really hope you mean Nick Scali

      • Oh yeah lol Nick Scali

    • Out of curiosity - how do you have 8 amex cards?

Are you able to use offers separately with additional card holders?

      Thanks

      • I have a platinum card with 2 additional card holders and 2 x platinum reserve companion cards and each of these has 2 additional card holders.

  • Is this expired? I can't find it :(
