With the iPhone 13 coming out, older models have become cheaper - Amazon and TGG have this model at $846 compared to $849 at Officeworks, with price beat guarantee this comes down to $803 which is the cheapest it has ever been (as far as i can see on OzB)!

I went for the black model and OW price matched without hesitation.

$500-$600 would be a fair price

        skipped 14 dude

    • a 4-5 year old iPhone X could be traded in at Apple Store for $280 so a brand new, 2 models newer iphone wouldn't be $500-$600

      • hey price it as you want ,but when you can get iphone 12 for $900 (posted below) i dont know how you see value at $800 for 11

    800 buck$ for a 64gb 2.5yr old phone? LOL. No thanks.

If someone can't afford $1,300 for the newest model, what would you consider to be a better value new iPhone purchase at the moment?

      • +1

I don't consider ANY Iphone a value purchase.
        Personal opinion only.

I received a call from a guy yesterday telling me I’d authorised a $799 payment on Amazon for an iPhone11 which I didn’t remember ordering. He very kindly helped me to reverse the transaction but I can see now it was a pretty good price so probably should have let it go through.

Are you sure it was Amazon? I think they never call to confirm that sort of thing. Usually you get this sort of call for a scam. Did you give them bank details to reverse transaction?

      • +2

You are correct it was a scammer; I was having a little joke. I usually just play along with them and waste their time while they try to convince me to install remote access software. When I feel I’ve played with them enough I unleash my clip of Hindi swear words at them and wait till they hang up.

          😀😀 that’s a good way to return.

      • They do for large purchases. I once put in an order for $4k worth of goods via Amazon and got a phone call later in the day with full order details asking if I really want to proceed.

My goodness… you might be scammed! Check your card, call your bank!

If you bank called, doubt they know $799 was to purchase an iPhone, no way. They only know you have made a purchase at Amazon.

If Amazon called, well, they don't call!
