Actually most calories you burn are burned just by metabolic processes that are unaffected by level of activity. That's why exercising excess calories off is so hard. You're far better off eating less than exercising more, if weight loss is your goal. And statistically weight loss should be most of our goal. Don't get me wrong, I'll happily smash a pizza, but I don't have to be happy about it when I do.
