I bought this watch from the last time there was a deal about it and here's my thoughts:
    - movement is now hacking
    - strap no longer has markings on them
    - movement can be a bit loud
    - 60-click bezel feels solid
    - dial is glossy
I'm really happy about this purchase, feels like I found a skx007 version 2.0.

    • Could you explain what is 'hacking'?
      Thanks

The second hand stops moving when you pull out of the crown. Which means you can calibrate the watch with greater control. Probably doesn't mean much when the movement doesn't have the best of accuracy but it's there.

      • The seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled out. Hacking allows the watch to be more easily set to a reference signal, or synchronized with second timepiece.
So you have the ability to set a watch's second hand as well as the hour and minute hands

        • or synchronized with second timepiece.

Perfect for setting up a bank heist… Whoops perhaps i said too much.

    • Does the crown feel awkward in that position or same as traditional?

      • +1

A little awkward to use but more comfortable to wear.

    Who that?

Says the guy who bought two citizen eco drives eventhough he rarely wears a watch since been working from home for what seems an eternity and a day due to the pandemic.

Picked up the metal bracelet version from Starbuy for the same price last November. Not keen on the rubber.

      Not keen on the rubber.

      Thats what he said. ✌

  • Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Great watch except that to my ageing eyes the day/date are illegible in anything other than perfect light and even then have to have the face tilted just so.

The metallic finish on the rectangle around the day/date seems to reflect light such that the day/date are thrown into more shadow and even harder to read.

For those with better eyesight than mine it's probably not be an issue.

Hmm just a couple of weeks ago this was $189 —>

Bracelet version was also the same price. Even though it's a rubbish bracelet, it's heaps easier to find a decent NATO/rubber/silicone strap than it is to find a bracelet for this watch. Not many bracelets around in my experience.

But yeah, that deal was the cheapest ever from Starbuy AFAICT, so $10 more is still pretty good.

+1 on the metal bracelet. Did you ever find one? I'm still looking.

Finding a bracelet with end links that match the watch has been a trial.

        • I bought one from AliExpress because someone in the review said it fitted their NY0040. I waited a few weeks, got the package, put it on the watch, and…..it didn't fit. Spring bar holes on the solid end links were too far out and the links wouldn't go far enough up against the body.

It was a shame because it was solid links, solid end links, milled clasp, for ~$20 delivered. I'll try to find the link.
