Its not much more to get something good.
It's still a poor quality PSU with very average results. The "fix" was just to cap it's voltage lower rather than fixing the issue. So the new models are less capable and will probably still star to fail when getting older.
Also why they have a shorter warranty than this….
That's horrendous. With lower die size the power requirements should go down, not up.
The hacked technical documents from Nvidia show 4080/90 will have the die size of 600mm2 which is close to GA102's 628mm however with TSMC's 5nm process that will allow more transistors to be packed into it (e.g a whopping 96MB L2 cache) that's what really making it so power hungry.

Having said that, they have noted that processing might take longer than usual so..
few weeks ago my monitor stands I've ordered took 3 days to process but when it got shipped, came on next day.
So just sit back and relax mate.mine too, hopefully they eventually ship it!
I just did a live chat with their CS and seemed to me their warehouse aren't aware of these orders hence no progress has been done.
Perhaps you want to have a chat with them as well so they know this has affected more than one order and hopefully to receive an update later today.

Got an email from Mwave saying my order has been dispatched after another email earlier than this saying they were unable to find the product in their warehouse.
Considering it is sold almost twice as much in most places, including Mwave themselves I am not going to complain 🙂. Hope you guys will receive the email soon if not already.
This plus the $99 850W PSU from Gigabyte makes me thinking the rumour is likely to be true that, people are going to need a 1200W power for the next gen GPUs…
