    THANK YOU A MILLION!!
    I've been looking for one
All the retail stores are out of stock.
All the online stock was out of stock.

Now I found this at cheaper price than others
I feel like I've been redeemed xD

    • +1

      hey people,

Diablo CE might seem like it's SOLD OUT but it isn't when you click 'order online' it just takes you to the standard edition page.

what you need to do is search the jb website for Diablo and then find the Diablo CE. then click ADD cart.

      or just click this link
      http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/pc-games/diablo-3-collec…

      mod please update.

  • +2

YES! For lazy bastards such as myself who forget about pre-ordering.

Can anyone tell me how long I should expect to wait for delivery considering this item is "On Order" and JB are awaiting stock?

    • -3

Well given the game is released on 15 May you should be waiting until at least then - you just pre-ordered.

    • I don't think it will be on release day. Best bet is the next day or day after that. I'd put money on the next day.

  • -6

$69 is still at least $10 too much. I would never buy D3 for more than the US price of $59.99.

      • +20

Bit of a 'forget which site you're on' moment eh?

      • -5

So if $10 means so little to you, you'd have no problem paying $25/month for WoW?

        • +4

Wow isn't $25 per month. Its $15. I thought id let you you know given how important $10 is to you.

        • +1

I know it's $15. I'm saying IF it were $25 this guy would seemingly have no problem paying that, seeing as $10 is so little.

        • My bad. I misread what you said.

    • +6

US$60 doesn't include tax, so you're already at $66 if you buy it in Australia, and that doesn't even take into account the higher cost of handling from Australian workers. $69 is more than reasonable.

      • +3

OZBers don't really care about reasons for why things are priced as such. They just want the cheapest price possible.

I agree that $69 is a reasonable price for a locally purchased title.

Although, Starcraft 2 launched for $60 shipped at Dick Smith. I'd probably look there when it comes out if buying locally.

        • Well, sure, but if all you care about is price, buy it from PlayAsia and get it over with. This is local stock, and you're barely paying any extra compared to the US. We're not getting ripped off for video games like usual.

        • Dick Smith amputated their games division, or has everyone forgotten the recent debacle already?

        • Agree for consumer products, for 'things' - electronics, gifts and luxury items.

However this line of thinking should not be the same for food. Specifically unprocessed food items you'd traditionally buy from a greengrocer or frozen section.

You can now buy 1KG of Heinz baked beans from Coles. The product has "Made in Germany from imported ingredients". Imported from where and under what conditions? How does purchasing that affect local producers and Australia's ability to produce the same item?

          Enjoy Diablo :P

      • -2

It's more accurate to say that the frothing loons who post about how "Australian games are expensive! GRRR!!!" completely ignore how Sales Tax in almost every American State adds 10% while ours includes GST, amongst many other expenses to ship to Australians.

        • Add 10% and shipping, buying from America is still much cheaper than from local, most of time. I am talking about everything, not just D3

    • +1

Even $59.99 US price is too much. Blizzard (and parent company Activision) charges the $10 premium on their PC games making it the same price as console games, where Nintendo/Sony/MS make a $10 royalty cut on every game sold even though no one gets said cut on PC games. So they pocket the extra $10.

$50 US would be standard price (though maybe not for long since more and more publishers see they can get away with charging $60). A "Sale" price would be $40. So if you can buy it at MSRP for cheaper than you can a sale, you may as well import a copy.

  • thank you for finding this !!
Already got Digital Download from blizzard but got CE anyway heh!!

  • thanks for this! grabbed the CE

How many of you pre-purchased from Zavii http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/pc/diablo-3/10042969.ht…?

They have £38.94 (~$60) incl. shipping - but not sure when i will receive it? Although i know their delivery time is fast, ~5-7 days.

    • Or you can go here: http://www.ozgameshop.com/pc-games/diablo-iii-3-game-pc-and-…

They have it for $54.99 (~$54.99) incl. shipping. Also delivered from UK. I bought it for $52.99 a little while ago, but they've since increased the price a bit.

      • Aha. I have bought so many dvds and few games and few accessories from zavii with great delivery time, rarely waiting for 6 or more than 7 days, that's why i refer to them. How is ozgameshop's delivery time?

      • +2

Can the UK version be registered on Blizzard for Australia?

        • +1

I don't know about delivery time. This is the first time I've ordered with them, but I hope it's fast.

@cap_n: You can choose which server to play on. You will be region-locked with the RMAH. As there will be no Australian server the RMAH for us is North America's server, I believe.

I'm under the impression that the RMAH will lock to the region in which you ACTIVATE the game.

  • Thanks ☺ was hoping there would be a final batch of D3 hitting the net ☺

  • Thought I would never have a chance to buy this under $150 as I kinda slept on the initial pre-orders, thanks for the post.

  • I pity the fools that pre-ordered this a few weeks ago for $190.

    • Really? It was that much? Damn, I scored big time then!

      • I'm not sure I'd call $137 a bargain. Isn't the official retail price of these $99.99 in the US?

        • That's a shade under 2x the normal release price for… sfa as near as I can tell. I was pondering it but the price diff was colossal for me. :/

    • Just saw the JB website had a price guarantee, so I think those guys would still pay $137.

  • +9

Just pre-ordered. Goodbye to one year of my life LOL.

    • +4

Said goodbye to your partner as well already? :)

      • +1

Unless you're buying a CE for your wife.

  • OMG, I've scored a CE edition!!!!!! THANKS TO THE OP!!!!!

  • +1

ive got a preorder on a CE at dicksmith.. but not too sure if im gonna get it - think i might just go standard on release.
is the bonus content really worth twice the price..?

  • Just bought myself a CE copy. Can't believe how these became available.

  • Got the CE as well… after playing the Beta, I think I'm gonna love this game!

  • Hey, Diablo 3 Collector's Edition  Available 31-12-2012 not 15-05-2012.

    • Yeah that looks weird. Maybe a typo?

    • so is that why I was charged full payment after I order it =/

  • what is the benefit having CE edition? sorry for asking

    • +2

That info is one click away….

    • +2

      • Diablo 3 Soundtrack
      • Exclusive in game DLC:

      • No "get you laid" T-Shirt then?

        • +2

          hehe :)

Only one thing truly worth it for me there: The Art of Diablo 3 Art Book

The soundtrack is on the "interesting" side of things. The behind the scenes stuff 3rd.

          The rest, meh.

I can't see paying $68 for that as being worth it. Least for me.

        • +1

i agree, even the art book is kinda meh. itll likely be stuff weve already seen - would have been nicer if they were posters or something. but with an art book, youll flip through it once, maybe twice, and that's it.

  • I'll wait for DIck Smith, they alwas come outclastxwit good deal like.Starcraft 2!

    • this. For starcraft 2 I order at dicksmith 1-2 weeks before the release date and got it delivered in the morning on release date.

    • +15

I'd like to buy a vowel thanks.

    • Even if they do this, Dick Smith's price won't be below $69. That's the same price that their Starcraft 2 pre-order offer was ($69.95 actually).

  • Good find, the collectors edition is sold out basically everywhere and sellers on eBay are trying to worm $200+ from people.

  • +1

Just looking at my T&Cs on the receipt:

    "Order Now - On Order
If your item is marked "ORDER NOW " at the time of ordering and is listed as "ON ORDER" on this email, it will need to be ordered directly from supplier. Most local suppliers deliver to us within 4 business days. Smaller suppliers can take 1-2 weeks and import items can take up to 12 weeks. Once arrived, we will aim to have your item picked and packed within 1-2 business days. You will receive an email confirmation once it ships. Please then allow for standard Australia Post. Delays may occur around Christmas, Easter and public holidays.
    "

how would we know if JB would honor this and have this sent out on-time? would they hold onto my money for weeks?

  • Ordered collectors edition!

  • How did they find more??, I looked everywhere literally for a collectors!!! Good find OP!

Don't think this will last long, People will be kicking themselves when they log into ozbargain tonight.
Also $69 is not so bad for the australian edition which lets you use the real money auction house too..

  • Thank you op, I ordered one. good thing I waited too!

  • I would be interested if this is offline. Unfortunately it isn't.

    • -1

same here, but im getting bored of diablo 2 so i still ordered 1.

      • Are you for real?, i thought it'd be like diablo 2 at least.

        • +1

it is very similar style, but at least i get to play with new characters.

  • Big thank you!!

  • +1

Anyone know where the cheapest non-CE version is?

    • -1

Within Australia JB. Outside of Australia there are CD key distributors that sell it for $55-58

      • Zavvi's current price is just above 50aud.

  • Nice find. Also with D3's price being dropped to 69 the CE isn't really worth the price considering what you're getting.

Actually scratch that just saw the USB has DII with expansion.

  • Godamnit, I tried searching on the JB website for it and it didn't show up, so I bought it through B.net!
    I'm bloody annoyed now

    • and ironically your username is 'Mister Bung', very bunged indeed :p

    • +1

Step 1: Type Diablo 3 into the search bar at the top of the JB Hi Fi page.
Step 2: Click Add to Cart (CE or Standard)
      Step 3: Enjoy

You have got to be kidding Mister? Really?

    • it is on the jbhifionline website, i'm not sure about the "usual" jb website.

  • Placed an order for CE version, thanks ops for letting us know :)

  • Ordered CE Edition… OP i hate you

  • is this sold out? can't find the CE one

  • i bought mine 3 weeks ago on amazon @99 + $2X for expedited shipping. Maybe could keep an eye out for them on amazon?

    • Got mine for $112 a few weeks ago too :)

  • +2

Thanks OP! Bought one, and now my life is over.

  • So I'm guessing JB won't actually bill me until the 15th?

  • Picked up a copy. Thanks for the notification OP.

  • Just hope they are shipping it out on the 15th May and not 31st Dec like in the listing.

    • listing changed yesterday to 15/05/2012. it was an error.

  • Damn it, ordered a copy of the CE only to remember that I had a preorder from another retailer.

Is there a way to cancel without incurring a (restocking) fee?

    • +4

If you had ordered another CE ed. elsewhere you can make money by selling it on launch day.

    • haha i'll buy it off you mate

      • I'd sell you the extra copy if you were in Melbourne; could just arrange a local pickup.

But being in another state could make things a bit more difficult. IDK, we'll see how things go.

  • Anyone know if delivery is on the 15th if you order online?

    • No, they usually ship it the day before at the earliest. Chances are you'll get two or three days later.

  • Can't wait.

  • +1

Dick Smith have lowered their price to $69 to match.
