$0 Brokerage on ASX Trades for 12 Months (for Motley Fool Subscribers) @ Stake

230

So I signed up for the Motley Fool via this Amex deal.

Today they sent me a "Thank You" email with a code for 12 months free brokerage at Stake - I've already got this deal active, but adding the code gave me an extra 12 months - I now have free ASX trades until Feb 2024.

RESTRICTIONS
These three $1 discounts will be activated simultaneously. Individuals are not able to have these staggered or activated at different times. The offer and use of these discounts are subject to the Stake AUS Rewards Program.

The discounts are valid for up to 10 trades per month. If 10 trades per month are not used, the remaining allowance cannot be redeemed as or exchanged for any other form of value (monetary or otherwise), and they cannot be rolled over to the next period.

After the 12 month period, these three $1 discounts will expire and the customer’s account will revert to the regular applicable brokerage fees of Stake AUS at that time.

Edit: Codes are definitely unique.

    • Yep my bad. Was trying to get it all written down and posted before I went and bought lunch …

    Bit late now?

  • yep

  • Thanks didn't notice the email!

  • +1

I signed up but didn't get the email, out of interest what was the subject line?

    • +2

A 'thank you' for being a Fool

      • I'm going to assume you didn't unsubscribe from their relentless newsletters? I joined via the AmEx offer as well but unsubscribed myself from all e-mails so I'm guessing that's the reason why I (and others) didn't receive the offer.

        • +1

          Yeah I didn't.

Mainly out of curiosity of how the market reacts to their "STRONG BUYS" (aka their pump and dumps)

  • Sweet. I got the email too. I got the Cashrewards ($70 cashback) deal stacked with the Amex ($99 cashback) deal, add this on and they have literally paid me $70 for a 12 month subscription and free Stake trades.

    • +1

I'd say most people who did the Amex deal would've done the same (I know I did!)

      • The $70 cashback was so sweet.

  • +3

I took some recommendations from Motley Fool and lost $$$$$$
    Never again

    • I've noticed that at 11:59am on the day of the recommendations there's a surge in buy activities. I've literally been refreshing my email/site and I cannot put the buy order in quick enough

    • +3

The real fools are the people who listen to them

    • And I got thousands of useless mails just to waste precious time.

Motley Fool is a shill partly owned by Citadel. Good deal for Stake but f Motley Fool

Prefer SelfWealth, you get to own the shares.
Beware of conditional offers as above I also know many who have burnt more than a few fingers.

    • +4

Stake is CHESS Supported, just like Selfwealth. The shares at Stake are in your own HIN.

Are you confusing Stake with Superhero? SH are in a custodian model.

      • Thanks for clearing this up. My mate lost a fortune with a former custodian.

        • Feel free to revoke your neg vote on your false information.

    • You do own asx holdings with stake. STOP COMMENTING ON THINGS YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

  • Does anyone know what happens to the Cash Balance you have at say SelfWealth if you try to transfer across to Stake (for both AUD/USD)?

    • +1

Nothing happens to your cash balance as your just transferring your share, not closing your account.

      • ahh makes sense, thanks.

Checked my email a couple of times but didn't get this :/
Anyone else have the same issue? Can we reach out to ask for this?

    • I e-mailed them and they sent me a code.

      • who did you send them to ?

  • +1

Just be careful with stake withdrawal issue . Still unable to withdraw money back due to emailed. pin verification issues that is ongoing.

  • How do you contact STAKE. I cannot see a chat window, a telephone or an email address, only see insta, twit, and the face book. I deposited my $50, now how do I get my $10 bonus???

    • I've emailed them at [email protected] and gotten a reply within a couple of hours (had an issue transferring my portfolio to them)
