  • Finally they are matching online prices

  • Why their expiry date is only 2 and half years from manufacturing? Energiser has 8 years?

But energiser is 4 times the price?

if you use them in a device you use daily, like a car key fob, garage door opener then they wont last past 2-3 yrs anyway

    • Note that it isn’t the expected battery life, that’s how long the manufacturer expects it will stay fresh on the shelf until you use them. Once they’re put in a device their lifespan will vary a lot depending on usage.

That is the best thumbnail honestly. Perfection

  • Oh I just bought some 2032s from Coles

All the button type batteries are being sold/cleared to make way for the new package design to meet child safety requirements.

    • Really? The supercheapauto one is a b|tch to get it out from the packing, thought thats already the child safe package.

Yep, The packaging is updated to require scissors and some manufactures have added a bitter agent in the hope kids spit them out if they put it in their mouth. https://www.duracell.co.uk/technology/lithium-coin-battery-s…

        • I just bought the chevron ones for $2, the packaging was already full plastic and requires scissors. I guess they didn't put a new barcode.
