  think will give it a miss …. i buy by the litre in supermarket and this seems a large carbon footprint for something people probably won’t order by the bottle and wouldn’t take if they had to pay for postage ….

    I don't agree with the neg but I do agree with not ordering a free sample as I have no realistic chance of buying their product. I buy the 3 litre Cobram when on sale and that lasts me ages. I just don't agree of abusing a goodwill gesture of a company trying to be competitive against the larger ones. As for the carbon footprint, it seems very small, but I suppose it all adds up.

CBF giving my details for a sample of oil. Maybe in the old days but using ozbargain has helped me almost move to middle class. Maybe for avocado, but not oil anymore.

  i think ozbargain has been around long enough that people also consider the quality / usefulness of a deal now, for example a deal on cheap grange might not be useful to many hence the “ordered 10” comments but it is a quality wine at possibly good price but not very useful to most readers….. with this olive oil sample it might be a good price “free” but not very useful at 10ml ……

  with a small satchel you’d hope that you aren’t too sick , and that other family members aren’t sick either or it might be a fight on who gets the satchel so that they well …..
  
  i’m a one person household but i don’t think this sample is big enough for a salad, or even dip a piece of bread into ……… sometimes these small samples are more like a business card so that people remember the brand, they hand them out at supermarkets or trade shows where they have larger tastings but the sample is so that you remember the name ….. i have some bottles of tabasco about the size of coles minis that tabasco had in a large jar for people to take ….. not enough to get a taste but so that people remember tabasco rather than just the brochures ….
