  • In store only. Can you walk in and buy contact lenses without an prescription and appointment?

    • +1

I have in the past without any issues

    • The George street one in the city made me get a print off of my script from specsavers

    • You will need a valid prescription to buy contact lenses. It’s fine if from another store, or you can have an eye test in store for an updated one.

      • A valid prescription from another store is valid for how long ? 2 years ?

        • it's 2 years. they made me book in for a re-test when i was 1 day over their 2 year threshold

        • It’s usually 1 year for contact lenses and 2 years for glasses.

  • This is very interesting for those who has some certain health insurance extras (for whatever reasons they might have). It’s like, getting paid to get some prescription glasses.

    • Never seen any PHI with $300+ optical cover so not quite.

It’s valid for one or more transactions so it would work for couples/families.

  • Can we buy giftcard at store ? I think the offer is better than Latitudepay at some degree

    • +1

Yes you can, valid for 3 years.

      • Are you guys the same company with Laubman ? If so, maybe we can use opsm gc there ?

      • Hi Mate, I was wondering if OPSM does some deal with free multifocal lenses like Laubman is currently running ? I am thinking if I can buy the gc now then awaiting for the offer to come sometime this year. Do you also by any chance had the link to the lenses price list ? Specsaver has this but I am unable to find for opsm.
        Cheers

        • No our offers are different. And to your previous question, I don’t think you can use opsm gift card at L&P, but I haven’t tried. I don’t have the lenses price list.

          • @magster: Thank you for your response, Mate. I am aware that your current promotion is different, but I was asking if OPSM had in the past running a promotion for free multifocal lense and it is highly likely to be offered before end of year. I normally went to specsaver thus I know that they will have the promotion every year. Thanks

            • @yht: No we’ve never had a promotion for free multifocal lenses. Best is probably 20% storewide which happens quite often. Also our lenses are very different to Specsavers, but I don’t want to start a debate here.

              • @magster: Oh ok, thanks for the info.

  • stack with one of their regular 20% off sales

  • Do they price match contact lens?

  • +4

Good deal! I used their subscription for contact lenses for 25% off. 6 boxes of 90 days Acuvue moist for $454.50. With AMEX, it becomes $354.50 and $200 health fund refund! 270 days of contact lenses sorted for $154.50!

    • Can the 25% discount for subscription be done in store? The conditions state excludes online purchases.

      • +2

I'm not sure about it being done in-store only. However, I just ticked that "subscribe and save 25%" button. It gave me a 25% discount. I just used my AMEX card to pay. It is already showing pending on my credit card so it went through. I went to T&C:

        Save money and time

The OPSM Subscription Value Plan is a natural choice for people who wear contacts regularly. You get:

A 25% discount off our current online retail price*
