    weber usually sell at rrp, though I have not tried to bargain with the retail outlets before
    i'm thinking of getting the weber q200, it'll only be $257.32, which will be a bargain i reakon

      Pah! They have revised their online price. No more $257.32, basically they put in handling charges even for pickup. Oh wait, does that mean the store stock is gone..hence…

    I have purchased the q100 to pick up in store. I have been looking around and prior to this about $260 was the best I could get. Best to book online anyway as it is store stock only and the sooner you get in the better.
    Certainly $257 for the q200 is a great deal.

      Yes. I suspect they found out they were losing some margin from direct pick up at local stores after online purchase. They only made the changes yesterday afternoon to have a higher freight and handling charges for local pickup. Hence for some reason, delivered is cheaper in the end.

    I just bought A Q200 following this post.
    I paid 285.92AUD then I checked Target online and they have it for 199AUD+ postage delivery only, no pickup.
    Do you rekon there is a difference between the bbq's?

      I can only find the Weber Q200 on target.com, not target.com.au. Have you been able to find it for $200 in Australian Target stores?

      The Target you refer to is definitely the US Target stores not the Aust versions.

      It's another question altogether why you pay US$149 for the Q100 at the US stores but A$289 here in Australia for the same product when the dollar is almost at parity.

      This is not Rays profiteering though it is the Australian distributor based in Adelaide who keeps a very tight control on supply and price.

    Just like to say - that the added shipping seems to be an error.

    If you contact them they will refund the shipping fees for local pickup (well that's what I've been told when I called the guy up - can't see the refund till a couple of days).

    Btw thanks to the OP - was looking for a weber baby q - and it was the cheapest by far.

    I ordered a Q305 last night for pickup today from my local store, as per a this posting I used my RACV card and got a further 10% bringing the price down to $462.38.

    Discrepancy between my order acknowledgement which stated the price as $462.38 but the invoice they gave at the store on pickup was for $513.76. The manager stated that no further 10% discount on the 26.5% and I need to ring their head office to clear up any issues as it was a web order. I was still ok with the 26.5% discount but just checked with my CC provider and only $462.38 was charged!! So all good!!!

    Thanks to the poster for this one as well - I was planning on buying a Q200 from David Jones for $389 + $89 for the stand, minus 15% discount that they're running right now, which would've cost me $406. I managed to pick up a Q200 and stand from rays for $362, a savings of $44 which would've been even better if I had a membership with an auto club!

    So now that I've got a BBQ, where's the cheapest place to get a gas cannister from? I see barbecuesgalore.com.au have them for $39.95, if this a pretty standard price? Thanks

    I've been lusting after a Weber Q for some months now but just couldn't justify the price.
    But thanks to your posting and reminder about the AUTOCLUB discount the scales have been tipped in my favour.

    I bought the Weber Q200 LP Subtotal: $285.91
    Coupon: AUTOCLUB (-$28.59)
    Total Payable: $257.32
    + $20 Freight for Home Delivery.

    I also bought the Great Outdoors-4+2 ENV Geo Dome Tent for 219.76 less 10%

    With a steak on my Weber Q, a case of Cracka wines ($50 Mothers Day Discount Voucher included of course) and a roof (well canvas) over my head I'm gonna be a happy chappy!

    I made a couple of online orders with the AUTOCLUB and VIP discount and with store pickup over the weekend. I phoned the online sales team and queried the handling charges and they are refunding back to my account. Still got full 30% discount on my Weber Baby Q - $191

      Mine has been shipped and received, although when I first called them to inquire about the status of my order, they told me that my order had been deleted and nothing had been done with it! So you might want to call them and make sure that they didn't lose your order as well.
