May want to include price in title before you get grilled.

Edit: at just shy of $60 per unit when purchased in 12 packs, I don't think you'll get much traction among this community.

Agree. JB HIFI recently did them for $50 each if you bought 10 or more. And they were new. It’s the best I’ve seen them go for admittedly. Now I have a couple sitting in a box doing nothing (got a bit too carried away lol).

I find connection to Lifx products really patchy. Some are decent, others are really laggy. Maybe I have too many wifi lights at home…

I think that may be why so many have returned them, hence this deal.

      Go Zigbee.

I have like 70 plus Wifi items, it would be your network that the problem.

      • +2

It's not necessarily their network - lifx stuff has had a patchy history here too, where multiple globes have "died" after 2-3 years, where they have lag or stop responding. I could take them to another network/location, and the same problem happens.

Kills the use of them imo, I wouldn't recommend them in hindsight.

I disagree. Some Lifx lights are just flakey. I had a Lifx mini day and dusk that would drop off the network at least once a week whilst my cheap Xiaomi Yeelights and even cheaper Kogan Smarterhome GU-10s consistently had uptimes of 100+ days.

        • Oh maybe i have the downlights and switches, there strips suck ass tho

I've had no issues with even older first gen Xiaomi bulbs. Only Lifx bulbs and strip

Good lights but the app is so bad. I have 25 lights in the alfresco and the app can't properly control them all at the same time. It just gets confused and pulses them as you dim or brighten. No problem using some 3rd party apps.

Also sometimes I've had them do a full reset even if they weren't toggled and setting up 25 lights takes too damn long. And that's when they setup correctly. Likely some will fail during setup and need to be reset separately from the other group of downlights. Real PITA
